  1. Thanks for the info, but this does not macth with what I have. Each of the scenes in question only has 2 devices, so 3 or 4 failing cannot be happening. Maybe I will try moving one of the rf receivers and see if that makes any difference.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I have no KeypadLincs. The devices are 7 SwitchLincs (2476D), 6 OutletLincs (2473) and 3 LampLincs (2456D3). The only other devices are the RL's and the 2 rf receivers - and, of course, the ISY 991 Pro. I ask about the flashing because there are the two distinct and consistent sequences - the 20 and the 1-15. I suppose it could be some kind of corruption - but I would have to think that it is defined somewhere.
  3. Thanks for the reply. I did some testing and this is really getting weird. First - the controlled devices/scenes work, they turn on or off as per the button pressed. There are 2 sequences of flashing I noticed: 1. A delay of about 5 seconds, then one flash, delay of 2 seconds and 14 or 15 flashes. 2. A delay of about 5 seconds then 20 flashes. On one RL the On and Off clicks of button 3 produce the different flash codes. This RL has the 20 flashes for B3 off, B6 on and off and the 1-15 flash on B1 on and B3 on. The other RL has the 20 flash for B3 on and off, B6 on and off and B5 on. One time I did notice the 1-15 flash for B3 off, but since then it has been 20 flashes. I gather from the lack of responses that there is no users or developers guide anywhere that lists what the flashes mean? Thanks again...
  4. Is there a reference somewhere that lists all the codes that can be sent by flashing the LED? Half the problem is that I do not know what the flashing means. I have also tried using them right next to each other, one after the other, so they are not in power save mode. The flashing still happens. I tried counting and it may be more like 10 flashes after 3-5 seconds, but it is very rapid flashing - not the slow flashing when in communications mode.
  5. I have an ISY 99 and 2 Remotelincs. The RL's have been working OK - until recently. When I press a button the LED will wait about 10 seconds then blink once, wait about 2 seconds then blink quickly about 25 times. This happens when button 3 is pressed off on one unit and when button 4 is clicked on or off on the other. What does this flashing mean? The scene that is controlled is activated, but the blinking on the RL will not stop. I have done a FULL reset and a BUTTON reset - but it does not change. - A second question: I notice on the Admin Console that each RL button controls a scene, as I have set it to do. But it also says that each RL button "is controlled" by the same button on the other RL. Is this correct, should it be this way? Thank in advance...
  6. Thanks to everyone for the responses. They have been very helpful.
  7. I think at one point when configuringing the remotelinc the first time I may have pressed an "extra" button when putting it in communications mode. I also noticed that the LED was not flashing when buttons were pressed. A separate question - can scene's be nested? That is - can I create, for example, 2 scene's with 2 lights each, then create a "master scene" with the two scene's as members (instead of all 4 lights) ? Is one better than the other? In the programs - what is the difference between the "status" and "control" items under conditions? Thanks...
  8. Ok, this was a little strange so I did the following: I tried the "factory reset" - which did not work. I removed all Remotelincs from the ISY control - then did the factory reset. This required re-linking all the buttons, but now it is functioning as it should. A 'tap' and the lights come on, pres and hold and it dims-up.
  9. Thanks for the reply. I have 2 scenes with dimmers. Scene 1 has 2 2456D3 Lamplinc dimmers. Scene 2 has 2 2476D switchlinc dimmers. I have both set with buttons on the remotelinc as controllers. They both work the same way - I need to hold the top of the button down and they "fade up". If I take my finger off the button they stop fading up. If I just click the button fast - nothing happens. If I click the button on a scene with the 2473 outlets they come right on. In the dimmer scenes, the individual devices and on the remote button I have the On Level set to 95% and the fade up to .3 seconds. If I go to one of the 2476D dimmers, the controllerm and click it on - both lights come on to the On level and at the ramp up rate. I also have the scene's in a sunset program - and that works fine, as expected. It is just the remotelinc that is not working exactly as I would expect. Also, I need to press "All On" and "All Off" twice to have it work. Do the "All" functions only work for lights controlled by that Remotelinc -- i.e. not for ALL defined devices, as an X10 command would work?
  10. I am in progress with converting to Insteon with an ISY99i and so far so good. I just have a few questions: - Is there any reason why a one single scene should not have 2 (or more) controllers? Is it better if they are different - like remotelinc, program or KPL? For example: I have a scene with 2 lights both on 2476D dimmers. One dimmer controls the other so both lights come on together. This works fine. I also have a remotelinc and want one of the buttons to control the same two lights. Should I add a second controller to the scene - or create a new scene (copy of the existing) and have only one controller per scene? - Using the Remotelinc with 2473 outlets works fine, as an On-Off button. But with the 2476D dimmers there does not seem to be a way to have the dimmers come "on" (either full or to a preset). The remotelinc button only is able to "dim up" the scnene lights. Am I missing somethig or is this just how they work? Thanks in advance for any replies...
