  1. Updated from .14, no issues.
  2. Updated from .13 to .14 - so far no issues.
  3. My Java version is 1.6.0_20-b02 and I am running Win7 64 bit on my desktop, Win7 32 bit on my laptop. Thanks ...
  4. Occasionally the launch of the ISY console in MSIE will hang, before the admin console itself is loaded. The java "spinner" stops and it just sits there. This may have happened once or twice on .12 but it is happening all the time on .13 now. However if I use Chrome it works fine - even immediately after MSIE fails. I have never had Chrome hang. I have cleared the Java cache and certificate several times. Immediately after I clear the cache MSIE will work, for a few times - then it happens again. I notice this on my main system and my laptop. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks to all...
  5. Upgraded from .12 - no issues.
  6. Upgraded from 2.8.11 - no issues so far.
  7. I tried both links below from my Laptop (different AV) and was able to successfully log-on and see the manual upgrade option. Obviously something on my other machine is causing an issue. Thanks to all for the responses & suggestions. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.10/ or http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.10/admin.jnlp
  8. For some reason the UDI Web Console does not work for me - I just see a "blank" console screen and never get a logon prompt. Try turning off any firewalls or antivirus on the UDI web console issue. I had the same issue and this fixed the problem. Thanks for the suggestion, I suspended web, firewall, intrusion and more on my Norton Internet Security, but that did not help. I always clear the Java cache, but when running the Web console (the first link) I see the 'blank' console - but there is no "manually upgrade" option under the Help menu item. If I run the JNLP I get Error: Not found. When it prompts me to enter the URL it tries to find it then simply says Not found.
  9. For some reason the UDI Web Console does not work for me - I just see a "blank" console screen and never get a logon prompt. I upgraded and saw 2.8.10. I ended the program, re-cleared the java cache, removed the certificate and re- upgraded (running locally). When accessing the console I was prompted for the new certificate and the version now shows correctly as 2.8.11 . So far so good, I'll update any issues if/when they happen. Thanks...
  10. Upgraded successfully from 2.8.9 to .10, so far no issues.
  11. It would be very helpful to be able to force-set a dusk status on 2420M devices. Even is the setting was only within the ISY it would help for program execution, etc. I run mine with a transformer permanently wired in, so I cannot take it and put it in a drawer to reset the dusk setting. Thanks ... I thought something like that but I woke it by putting it in link mode, activated the motion sensor and then placed it in light but none caused it display. Also, now none of the functions, "Dusk/Dawn," "Sensor" or "Low Battery" are displaying the current state. I rebooted and now "Low Battery" and "Sensor" display.
  12. Upgraded from 2.8.7 to 2.8.8 - so far no issues.
  13. Thanks for the reply. I did some more testing, yesterday and today, and Verizon does work when TLS was _NOT_ checked. Gmail is working when TLS _IS_ checked. Also, the new mail customizations are very nice, I have already incorporated some new messages into my program notifications. Thanks again ...
  14. The errors in the log, at the times I was testing are: Sun 2010/12/05 12:23:45 PM System -50001 -14 Sun 2010/12/05 12:25:59 PM System -50001 -6 Sun 2010/12/05 12:26:46 PM System -50001 -6 Sun 2010/12/05 12:34:31 PM System -10011 n/a Sun 2010/12/05 12:51:26 PM System -50001 -13 I will try to do some more testing tomorrow and will post results. I increased the timeout to 5500 and the result was the same.
  15. Updated from 2.8.6 to 2.8.7, so far so good on Insteaon, schedules, etc. Notifications to Verizon (outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net, TLS, port 587) - which had been working now fail. >> Edit Update: Verizon works intermittently w/ port 587 and TLS unchecked. Gmail Notifications, TLS, port 587, now work.
  16. I had the same thing happen. I tried a bunch of things, contacted Smarthome, they tried a few things and eventually replaced the 2420M. I also had the low battery warning on continuously. Sorry for your troubles, but glad to see that it isn't only me
  17. I am using Verizon for email notifications.
  18. I updated to 2.8.6 and my schedules and programs are running well. However I did notice starting with 2.8.5 and more so with 2.8.6 many email notifications are not working. I use a lot of notifications, especially when scripting a new program. Day to day I have fewer. For example I have a program that is triggered by "dusk" being set on - and the email notifications for this have stopped. The lights it turns on work fine, so I know the program is being executed, it just seems to ignore the notifications line. Yet I have an email notification for a separate program triggered by motion detection that does work. The only difference between these is a trigger by control instead of by status, but I do not see why that could make a difference. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks in advance ...
  19. Thanks for the comment, that may well be the case here. So far the power strip is keeping it isolated so X10 is working. If anything changes I will post it here. Thank you, and others here, for helping out - this forum is the best !
  20. OK, I think the cause of the problem has been identified. I have a "Popcorn Hour" NMT (basically a dedicated linux media PC) and when that was turned on X10 would not work via ISY. When it was off or unplugged X10 would work (via the ISY Admin console for testing). I verified this numerous times. The palm-pad worked all the time, in either its original outlet of the same one as the ISY. I put the NMT on a surge-suppressor power strip and it seems to be working with X10 and the NMT being on. I'll post again if anything changes. Here's another strange part - I have had this NMT in this exact location for about a year and the problem did not start until now. Thanks...
  21. Thanks for the tip, I cannot move the ISY and PLM to the X10 transceiver outlet because there is no network (ethernet) there. I should be able to move the X10 transceiver to the PLM outlet though. When I said nothing changed I was referring to the Insteon/X10 configuration and settings, not every plug in the house. I guess its time to start unplugging devices...
  22. I downgraded to 2.7.15 - and it is the same as 2.8.4 (X10 does not work) so I re-loaded 2.8.4. All Insteon devices are working fine. I did some testing today and it does not make any sense to me. Neither X10 direct admin console commands nor programmed actions are working for, except in rare times - last night one X10 light turned on when scheduled for the first time in about a week. A press of a button on an X10 Palm-pad works, first time every time on and off, so I rule out interference and such. This is not a huge deal, as Insteon is working and I only have two X10 lights, I just like to understand and to have things working ... Any suggestions for troubleshooting steps or things to check would be appreciated. Thanks ...
  23. I can't say that it fails 100% - but probably 95%. I have both light on and light off commands that are failing. If I turn on a light (via an X10 palm-pad) that did not turn on via ISY it stays on when ISY sends an off command. If I go into the admin console it also fails, but the console sees the status as On. With 2.7.15 X10 was working almost 100%. I have a phase coupler and there have not been any changes in my X10 config at all. Thanks for the reply...
  24. I upgraded to 2.8.4 and since X10 is not working. Has anyone else had issues with X10 and 2.8.4 ? My previous issues with the 2420 motion detector have been fixed - so that is working properly now. Thanks,

    IR Linc issues

I have a 2411R IR-Linc and can link every button on the credit-card remote except for the A button, at least explicitly. The base address of the IR is 12.F6.55. The 'B' button links as 12.F6.55.2 - but there is not an explicit link for 12.F6.55.1. However pressing A-on, A-off, All On and All Off gives the following on the event viewer (level 1 only): Sun 10/17/2010 11:38:53 AM : [ 12 F6 55 1] DON 0 Sun 10/17/2010 11:38:53 AM : [ 12 F6 55 1] ST 255 Sun 10/17/2010 11:38:54 AM : [ 12 F6 55 1] DOF 0 Sun 10/17/2010 11:38:54 AM : [ 12 F6 55 1] ST 0 Sun 10/17/2010 11:38:57 AM : [ 12 F6 55 1] DON 0 Sun 10/17/2010 11:38:58 AM : [ 12 F6 55 1] DOF 0 Does this appear normal? Are the All On and All Off buttons usable with the ISY, because without an explicit link listed in the Main tab I do not see how to add to a scene. Using "control On" seems to work in the Program Details area but only when directly coded in. Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated. Thanks...
