  1. Thanks so much Michael. I was able to get very thing working beautifully thanks to your help! Chuck
  2. Is anyone having success setting a thermostat using the ISY skill? I named the spoken word "thermostat" for this devices. When I ask "Alexa, tell Izzy to set thermostat", she responds "set point for which device", again, I say "thermostat", Alexa responds, "set point for which mode, heating or cooling", I respond with "heating", she then responds with "what temperature" and I respond with "72 degrees" and her last response is "error processing your request". Pretty disappointing... Chuck
  3. Thanks so much, I think that did the trick!
  4. I've scoured the forum trying to figure out the proper syntax to turn on/off a scene using a rest command, however have yet to find success. I've tried the the following rest commands: /rest/node/45761/DON /rest/node/45761/DON/128 /rest/nodes/45761/DON
  5. I'm not sure I understand Jon what this accomplishes? Does it just make it faster to create recipes? I was hoping there was a way to copy recipes instead of having to create them from scratch.. Chuck
  6. So happy! I guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow...
  7. UPDATE: Got it working!! I was putting the rest command into the body of the get request instead of appending it to the URL. It is literally instant and works flawlessly! So happy, thanks for sharing.... Chuck
  8. Thanks Jon, Unfortunately I'm still getting the following error when running the trigger: Action skipped less than a minute ago Unable to make web request: Error: ETIMEDOUT Any ideas?
  9. Jon, How are you using the portal in conjunction with the Maker channel? I spent hours but never could get it to work since our portal user name is an email address and I couldn't figure out how to embed it in the URL address... Chuck
  10. For those of us who wish to use IFTTT and the Maker channel, any idea when we might see the release of the new firmware which supports intermediate certs? The last I heard from Michel was that it is working well and they were stress testing it... Thanks! Chuck
  11. Thanks Michel for the info/update. I guess all we can do is hope for the best. At the end of the day, it may require me going a different route by using trigger commands via IFTTT/Maker Channel. Chuck
  12. Any idea when we might see the Connected Home integration or is that down the road? Thanks for all you do, Chuck
  13. Based on my new understanding, this leaves me very concerned by the phrase "predetermined utterances" and the greater scope of its meaning. I have several custom programs which relate to my A/V equipment which use unique names such as "H2 Channel". Does this mean I'm basically out of luck since "H2" isn't a common utterance? The whole point of the skill from my standpoint was to have the ability to launch any device/scene/program from my ISY via the Echo. I'm crossing my fingers that this isn't the case... Chuck
  14. Has anyone gotten programs to run? I have tried everything I can think of using simple names like kitchen, test, etc. and each time it fails with "program ____ not found". This is frustrating and I'm sincerely hoping these bugs get worked out, otherwise I just see this being much more trouble than it's worth, By the way, I have done multiple sessions of voice training and outside of the ISY skill, my speech is almost always recognized correctly. I sure hope for better results down the road...
  15. Alexa did hear me correctly after checking the Echo app. The only device name I've been successful with so far, is "kitchen".
  16. No joy. Just tested "ceiling fan" and I'm still getting "Which device?"...
  17. I'm also having an issue with names with spaces not being recognized even though Alexa heard me properly. It was working when set to "Kitchen", however changing it to "Spot Lights" fails...
  18. I followed your directions to the letter and even used "kitchen" as the spoken term for a device to test. After saying "Alexa, tell Izzy to turn on kitchen", I get "Sorry, I couldn't find a device named kitchen in chuck's profile"... Disregard, it now seems to be working...
  19. Yes, I keep getting the "Turn on which device" prompt.
  20. Same thing here. Haven been able to get a device or program to run. What a shame after all of this waiting. I'm certain the good folks here at UDI Will get it sorted out... Where are you editing the spoken elements?
  21. I think I'm over two years, however I'll call Smart Home tomorrow and give it a shot. Thanks for the info!
  22. Well I guess if I have to chose, I'd rather replace a PLM than hardwired switches, etc. That said, the PLM restore worked like a charm and all the device states are not showing up correctly. That said, we'll see how long it lasts but I'm going to contact Smart Home tomorrow and discuss this with them... Thanks again, Chuck
  23. Thank you. I just am amazed how this has been a known issue for years and yet SmartHome refuses to fix the problem. I certainly would expect more longevity than just a few years... Chuck
  24. I woke up this morning and noticed that several of my programs didn't run. After looking closer I noticed that the LED was off on my PLM (2413S). I figured it was toast as it's a few years old and I know that longevity is not its strong point. That said, I unplugged it for a while and plugged it back in and now the LED is back on (green). It does appear to be communicating with my ISY and I can send commands to all of my devices, however it's not recognizing device states when I manually turn on switches, etc and it's also not recognizing devices states for any of my motion sensors or TriggerLinc's. I realize I may be on borrowed time with this PLM, but to hold me over, should I do a "Restore Devices" or "Restore Modem (PLM)" to correct the communication issues? Thanks so much, Chuck
  25. I don't believe this is the case. Based on what UDI has expressed, they applied for both the skill and native support which includes the lighting API, allowing simple on/off commands to be issued without invoking the skill, i.e. "Alexa, turn on the family room spot lights". There is a post which covers this in more detail...
