Insteon Leak Sensor 2852-222 Programs
From my buddy who consults for Insteon (caveat - older sensors might be different): For most EISY setups, “wet” corresponds to ON, and “dry” corresponds to OFF. The heartbeat node reports the sensor’s status to confirm communication, typically every 24 hours. The EISY will display “yes” when the heartbeat is received; if it hasn’t seen one in that period, it’ll switch to “no.” When the sensor detects moisture, wet → ON and dry → OFF. Once it’s been triggered (wet), you must tap the set button several times to manually reset it to normal operation. This is a safety behavior — the device won’t automatically return to “dry” after getting wet, since floating debris or position changes could falsely suggest the water issue is resolved. During testing, you may notice it doesn’t automatically reset — that’s expected until you press the set button to acknowledge the condition.

Insteon Leak Sensor 2852-222 Programs
Ty, paulbates. I will uninstall and reinstall the sensor. JUST UNINSTALLED/REINSTALLED. YOU'RE CORRECT. I MESSED UP AND OVERWROTE THE NAMES. MY BAD!!!! Also, I'm awaiting a response to my email to my Insteon contact. Somehow, I don't remember the original 2852-222 as being this complicated to program. Maybe, it's my age...

Insteon Leak Sensor 2852-222 Programs
The names for xxx.2 and xxx.4 were identical except for the numbers. I definitely would have made a note of the original names had they been different. I do have a contact at Insteon that might be able to shed some light on the module. Perhaps I should send him an email?

Insteon Leak Sensor 2852-222 Programs
Well, the sensor (2852-222 version 3.0 2724) arrived, and I installed it into the Eisy program. Post installation, I now have three devices: Device 1: xx.xx.xx.1 Dry Device 2: "Kitchen Sink (my name)".2, the #2 automatically showed up Device 3: "Kitchen Sink (my name)".4, the #4 automatically showed up I have started to set up programs that cause an email to be sent for the heartbeat and any potential leak. But, I'm not sure why there are three devices. Can someone help here, please? Thanks.

Ty to all. Will review the suggestions, key in on one, and try to implement it.

Insteon Leak Sensor 2852-222 Programs
I have had several leaks under my kitchen sink (new home) connected to a new Insinkerator disposal that I think have finally been resolved with a new, more substantial o-ring. To be sure that there is no damage in the future, I have ordered the leak sensor. The problem is the drain, not the hot/cold water input, so I don't need to connect up water shutoff valves. I'm not sure what kind of programming/notification I want to create. Anyone have any programs that they have successfully used for notification, or any other ideas? BTW, I had several of these sensors in my old home, but those were ISY, not EISY, days and more than 10 years ago. Long lost... Ty!

Added Fan to Reduce Heat
I put four small 1/4" high bumpers (one on each corner) under the EISY and the unit runs warm, not hot. The desk top upon which the EISY rests is not even mildly warm.

Lights on at sunset or a specific time
Thank you to all for your help, but this seems above my paygrade. I'm going to stick with the simple dusk or +/- 6pm turn on.

Lights on at sunset or a specific time
Thanks to all. The program with the combined on/off works fine. If available, I would love to see the "cloudy" program, too.

Lights on at sunset or a specific time
All, Ty! I will try the simple ones first. I do, however, like the cloudy program idea. Please stay tuned.

Lights on at sunset or a specific time
Had started this topic earlier, but stopped due to a software glitch. That glitch has been fixed, but the topic has been closed out. Before closing out, I had received certain programming suggestions, but I was not able to make any work for me. I'm looking to have lights turn on at the earlier of sunset or 6pm, whichever comes sooner, and turn off at 10pm (or so).

EISY Needs to be restarted
Are you running any Insteon I3Dial switches? If so, update to the latest UD release.

Lighting schedule
Since everything seems to be working properly and the log shows minimal errors, I'm back to trying some programming to turn on certain lights at sunset +"x' random minutes or +/-6pm +"x' random minutes if sunset is later (spring/summer) and visa versa if sunset is earlier (fall/winter) following dbwarner5 examples. Tonight will tell the tale.

Problem resolved with the latest UD release...no more crashes.

Unfortunately, still not back. We haven't yet resolved the crash problems. Please stay tuned or add comments if anyone has any ideas. We've been working with Michel. We've ruled out Verizon Fios because we've placed a Dream Wall between the Verizon modem and the entire system and it shows that Fios has not gone down. We're not giving up!

Oh, one good thing came out of this frustration. Most of the bulbs I had tried had some flicker when running at <100% brightness or a periodic "flick" when running at 100% brightness. I was about to install capacitators sold by Insteon to maintain a constant load on the switch, and, theoritcally, solve the problem. But, at the last moment, I was pointed to Murray Feit BR30 bulbs with variable Kelvin temperatures (switch on the bulb) and different flood diameters on the PAR30 bulb (again a switch on the bulb). They worked - essentially no flicker/flick and smooth 10%-100% brightening. Yippee!!!!

Still troubleshooting... According to Verizon, it might not be the PLM, nor the EISY, nor my programming. It might be that the Verizon FIOS "channel" is not through putting a clean strong signal to my home due to congestion. So Verizon switched my channel to a less used one that was supposed to cure the numerous issues. Waiting to see if they are correct... BTW, Michel and his team have been wonderful trying to help me track down the problem. It has been nothing short of frustrating for all of us. So, please stay tuned. Once I'm back, I'll start testing the program that was the reason for starting this entire string.

Sorry for not yet responding... Having been having a major issue with a new PLM that is failing - just replaced it. Will get back to working with the lighting programs shortly. Thx again.

Got it. Thx.

Big meal to digest here... Please give me a bit of time to understand what you have done. Thank you very much.

Okay and thx. I’ll reread ur email many times and try to create a program for a progressively brighter light that doesn’t all of a sudden go to/-100% from 60%, or so.

Ty! I’ll give it a go and will report back. BTW, ur roadmap is very impressive.

If I turn off the light during this period, the program will turn it on again. I could try fade up, but there doesn't seem to be a max level and time frame for this option - I don't want 100%. Thanks.

I have several different programs that turn on lights at various hours and at different levels. If I happen to have one of these lights turned on before the program executes, then it will change the light level to that indicated by the program. I've tried writing several programs to disable the program if the light is already on, but I have been unsuccessful. I would appreciate help in creating a program script that would avoid this issue. Thanks.

Eisy infinite loop
I had a similar loop problem. To attempt a fix, I unplugged the eisy and PLM from 110v, then - in order - plugged the eisy into 110v and then (20 seconds later) did the same for the PLM. The program was still in a loop. So, for no reason at all, I decided to add an Insteon device and see what would happen. For some reason, that immediately stopped the loop. Didn't actually add the device and don't know why this stopped the loop... Oh, the program also advised me to upgrade to 5.8.4.1. That's another story and it created issues.
