I have a 2477S installed to control some lights. I can control the light via Alexa both on and off, but at the switch it will not turn on but will turn the light off when I use Alexa to turn it on. I have restored the setting and still does not work. What next?

I ordered the envisalink, waiting for it to be delivered, then I will play around and see what i can do with it. I am sure I will have more questions once i get to testing it. Thanks for your input, it's much appreciated. Brian

Is there an app for it? How do I monitor it? Nodeserver?

I looked at it, just concerned that my monitoring communications will have to flow through that and not my phone line, hence the question above.

I have a Honeywell Vista 20P alarm system with no IP connectivity. I would like to add a network connection to this alarm system and still have the monitoring go through the phone line and use the network to control my alarm system via my phone and possibly the ISY. Is there anyone out there that has experience with this? My alarm guy is telling my I have to upgrade my panel and get a subscription for the app and it will cause my monitoring price to go up $10/month. ELK M1 Gold is would be great except that all the devices are wireless in this house and the cost would be huge. I appreciate your feedback. Brian

I was thinking that an I/O link could release the door when needed, or some other insteon device. Let me know how you do yours GaryFunk.

To help clear things up for Teken....the mud room used to be apart of the garage so that was the only door. I added a 6 foot wide room in the garage added a door that leads to the garage and now I have a mud room. As far as security goes i do not lock these doors as the garage door is my security, but the original door is wired for the alarm system and the alarm system won't arm unless that door is closed (we don't lock it as the alarm goes off 30 seconds after opening this door. Does this help?

This is my mud room door between the garage and the house. So I open a door to get from the garage into the mud room then there is a door there to go into the house. We usually keep that door open unless we are not home and we always forget to close it at night and the alarm will not set with it open. Make sense?

In order to arm my alarm, this door needs shut and I want to automate it using a door magnet.

My thought is to put a door closer on my mud room door, then attach a door magnet to it to hold it open. Let's say at night I want to close the door I press a button the magnet releases the door and the closer closes it, then I can arm my alarm system. Just wondering if anyone has done this, tried this or even thought about it. I'd be interested in knowing what magnet you purchased as I am just researching it now. Thanks, bdw72

I just installed 2 leak sensors in different implementations of ISY, the second one I installed is in the home I live in and the question I have is about the heartbeat. Should it be "On"? My leak sensor at the other place shows "ON" but the leak sensor where I live shows "Off". Can someone help me understand what I am missing? Thanks, bdw72

I cleared my Java Cache and it still has the same error

I cannot get to my admin console, it says "Certificate has been revoked. The application will not be executed." I have added the ip address of my ISY to the exception list in the java app. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I borrowed a PLM and got it working, but now I have one of my I/O links(Garage Door control) with exclamation Marks on it. I can still control it from my computer, but not in Mobilelinc. How can I fix this issue?

I have found the procedure for replacing my PLM

My PLM Info/Status shows safe mode. In my troubleshooting last night, I already tried powering down both the ISY and PLM to no avail. My PLM is about 2 years old....go figure. Ordering a new one. Is there anything special I have to do to replace my PLM? I have another one that I can steal to get my house working, just want to know what the process is to make it work on my house.

I noticed my lights didn't turn on at dark, I rebooted my is you and the TX light comes on and stays on, and I cannot use my mobile link on my phone. Any ideas? Thanks, Brian

I am running firmware 3.1.17 and I just purchased these devices last week, arrived yesterday. File attached ISY-Events-Log.v3.1.17__Fri 2012.03.30 02.17.41 PM.rar

If I add it manually it by picking the device from the list, it adds the device but I am not able to control it.

I am adding more devices to my home insteon network, and now when I try to discover my devices it cannot find them. I put in the address of the device (2476S) and now I get an error. Even tried another device(Appiancelinc 2456S3) and it did the exact same thing. Error is "Node not added - faile restoring the device" (1x.xx.xx 1) [-200000/-10]. Thanks in advance for your help.

If I disable Program2 then the door will not close at all, since there are no commands in Program1 to handle that. I understand that the door will stop if I open the door at the same time the hourly program is running. The hard part is handling the part where I open the garage door after dark. Right now Program2 stops the door operation becasue the criteria is being met.
