Another issue that I just came across. May be related. I added my wife's email in the portal as a user. I then tried to add UD in her google home account and received a notice that an error occurred. Her email was verified. On the backend, maybe it is also not updating along with my devices. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When I link back to UD, the new devices or scenes don't appear. I still see "living room" lights, I deleted that weeks ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello all, I have google home and the ISY linked through the ISY portal. The issue I am running into is, when I add a new device to the ISY or for instance, create a new scene, I then add the device/scene to the ISY portal along with the spoken words but unlinking and relinking UD in google home does not refresh the devices. This was not an issue months ago when I first linked everything together, at least if it was, it was not apparent to me. I've unlinked and relinked numerous times. I've unplugged my physical google home (the one in the living room). Our bedroom Google home never worked with UD but I think I figured that issue out. Do I need to reboot all Google Home devices? Should I have to reboot them at all? I'm scratching my head here. It's as if the UD portion in my Google Home control is stuck in the past. Thanks in advance for your assistance. ~Jerry

Just so I'm understanding correctly,a faulty driver circuit at the bulb can cause the switch at the wall to have these types of issues? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Actually the bulbs do not have any airflow. They are in a box in the ceiling with a piece of glass screwed at four corners. I will loosen the screws so some heat can escape and monitor from there. Thanks for that insight! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Regardless of what bulbs are there, they've been there for years without issue until now. Seems like the switches are both still holding up after the last reset. If I get a chance to pull them down I'll post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One bulb is a 1600 lumen Phillips and the other I believe is a 1500+ lumen Cree. These are the two brightest bulbs installed in the house. Everywhere else is a 60w led equivalent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey am I crazy? Last night I was trying to pull the tab out but it seemed like on the 6 button that it doesn't pull out so I gave up on that. I can try again. Can you confirm that the 6 button keypad tab does pull out? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey all, Last night one 6 button keypad in the master bath made the noise as if you held in the reset button then the switch lights all dimmed. When I turned on the main light, the bulb flickered as well as the switch as if it were processing something. I hit off and the same flicking at the pad. After you click on or off 1-2 times, the switch becomes inoperable. If I use mobilinc to turn the light on, I can then again use the keypad for 1-2 presses before it stops working again. I then tried to update and reset the devices through the portal but that didn't help. I then shut the power at the panel for the room, turned it back on and the switch worked perfectly for about 10 minutes. I have since reset the power again and the switch is working but I assume at some point either while resting or being used it'll revert back to this issue. This switch has been in the bathroom for at least 4 years without issue until now. Any thoughts on this switch? Second switch, same model but in the kitchen. It also made the same reset noise but after, nothing worked. Not even using mobilinc turned the actual bulb on though the app states the switch as "on". The switch even flickered a bunch when I turned the switchlinc next to it on or off. I thought at first that maybe the bulb was bad but it was not. I also turned the power off at the panel and the switch came back almost at 100% working. The only buttons that didn't work were regular on and off to turn the bulb on but insteon showed the switch as on. Fast on and fast off both turned the actual bulb on and off. The middle 4 a-d buttons worked fine as well. I then reset the device at the portal and it works 100%. This switch as of writing this is still working fine and it's been about 30 minutes. This one has also been installed for at least 4 years. Any thoughts on this one? What could be causing this? All of switchlincs and my one 8 button pad are all fine. Just these two 6 button keypads started having issues yesterday into today. Any way to stop this from happening again or are the switches eventually going to die all together? Thank you! Jerry

Hello all, I currently have my thermostat set point programs broken up into four parts of the day. 3:30am 68, 6am 65, 2pm 68, 10:15pm 67 (with our recent newborn, my set points are a little closer then they used to be...still experimenting with them). An example is: Sleep - [iD 000A][Parent 0009] If Time is 10:15:00PM And Status 'Main Floor / Thermostat - Main' is Mode Heat And Status 'Main Floor / FKPL A -Entrance Inside / FKPL C -Away Mode' is Off And Module 'Climate' Temperature >= -15 °F Then Set 'Main Floor / Thermostat - Main' 67° (Heat Setpoint) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') When I set my "Away Mode" to on, my thermostat set point goes to 64. When I turn my away mode off, there is no simple way to get the set point to fall back to the last thermostat program then statement, which would be ideal. I used to have my programs have a time range ie: 6:00pm - 10:14pm. This worked great for when I turned away mode off but would eliminate the ability to manually change the thermostat on the fly. For instance, if my wife wants 70 degrees for the moment, the thermostat will go to 70, but soon after, revert to the set point of the program that controls that time section. I guess because the ISY is always looking to set the temp during that given time period. Since, I've eliminated the time section and just set the programs to change at a specific time, like the example above. With this set up, I could manually change the set point as much as I want until the next program time reset it to it's respective set point. I then tried to create programs that stated, if away mode "set" to off (not is off) between a given time period, then set point to X. This did not work. When I changed the status to "not on", it would only work if I manually queried the thermostat or refreshed from mobilinc, but would not work if I set a program to query the thermostat when away mode is set to off. This is where I gave up for the night and turn to you. lol Maybe I have my thermostat programming all wrong. I set this up 2-3 years ago when I got my Insteon thermostat. The Nest had just come out but was not integratabtle with ISY. Are my options different/better so many years later with all of the updates to the ISY and it's software? Can I go a different route in my thermostat set up? Is there a way to have the insteon thermostat act like a Nest, would that even be beneficial? I'd love to know how you are running your thermostat. Thanks so much! Jerry

The humidity definitely worked when I applied it to the main therm. I've had the main for a few years now. The wireless I recently added to the network.
-
That could cause it to work for one and not the other?
-
The code that works for my main therm is ${sys.node.22 17 8E 1.ST} I am using the insteon therms. He one that the code works for is wired. The other is wireless (battery). Not sure if that matters
-
No not yet. The main thermostat works if I use the code. It'll send temp or humidity. Whichever I put in. The new thermostat does not work. Not sure why. I'll try the percent this week.

This doesn't seem to be working. I have two thermostats. On my home t stat I use ${sys.node.22 17 8E 1.ST} to get an alert about temp and it works. I never created a variable or anything. Just simply put that into the HTML message and it works (I think that's all I did, regardless, I don't have any variables set up). When I use sys.node.1f 70 64 1.CLIHUM or ${sys.node.1f 70 64 1.CLIHUM}, the text comes in as MSG:sys.node.1f 70 64 1.CLIHUM Thoughts?

Hey peoples, I'd simply like to add the current humidity level of my thermostat to my email/text notification. I am using this for a music room that has my guitars in it and I regulate the humidity in the room. The humidifier can only run for so long before needing water so I'd like to use the warning to let me know when the levels are getting close to my threshold. I would also like to include the humidity level in the message. Thanks for your help! Jerry

Could you post some pictures of the setup? I'm a visual learner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Aside from the dimming module, there are also on/off and open/close. Wondering if either of those could be used. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Could the insteon micro relays be used at all in this situation? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
