As fryfrog stated, the vacuum is 11.5amps, the compressor 15. Being that the electrical panel is fairly close to where I want to have the vac and compressor, I could put them on separate circuits if I felt the need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Both items you linked to are correct. I don't really think I'd be using both at the same time. All of this is for the garage in my house, not an actual shop of any kind. I don't heavily use either item but would like to relocate them to the boiler room (next room over) for both space savings in ye garage and the added bonus of not having to hear either very loudly when being used. Do you think two outdoor modules will do? I can even program them to turn the other off when one is turned on to ensure both devices cannot run at the same time. Of this did work I could strap one of those insteon remotes to the end of my vacuum hose. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have to check the specs when I get home. The vacuum is a dustless technologies 16gal and the compressor is a ingersolrand 4 gallon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I want to put my vacuum and compressor in another room and run lines to my garage for suction and air. My saw would be in the garage and I can power that on by hand, but would love to be able to turn the other devices on from inside the garage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Could this be control via ISY? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello all, I apologize if this is not in the right area. Hopefully someone can assist. I want to be able to control the on/off of both my air compressor and shop vac and wondered which insteon device I can put between the plug and the outlet without incident. For instance, would the on/off module work for this or would the amperage of either burn out the insteon device? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After about an hour of just leaving it alone, everything seems back to normal. I will update if anything else changes. Thank you everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello, I just purchased and installed the irrigation module. After the ISY rebooted and I logged back into the admin console, I received a message that the system was in safe mode due to lack of communication with the PLM. I tried unplugging the PLM as well as changing the wire to the ISY and nothing. I noticed that the led light on the PLM is not lighting up when I plug the PLM in or press the set button on the side. Can anyone offer any suggestions or is it time for a new PLM? It's just a bit weird that I did not touch anything as far as the hardware and the PLM just failed in this case. Thank you, Jerry

I open Safari and type in the address to go to the admin console. 994, recently updated

Hello all, I am trying to purchase the irrigation module but when I go to Help then choose Purchase Modules, nothing is happening. I am on a Mac using Safari. I have updated the java and that did not change anything. Any suggestions? Thank you, Jerry

I'm experimenting with this... let me know if you have a better idea. I created another program to disable the motion program for 10 seconds if the control switchlinc is set to off. When the light turns off due to time expiring, my MS disable program does not seem to run which is preferred. Edit: Now I'm getting a little crazy. I created another program that will shut the lights in 30 seconds if the Garage Door sensor is switched to On (the sensor shows "On" when my door is closed). If I am entering the home through the garage and I closed the main garage door but stay in the garage, I added a line to the Then of the Motion program that runs the Else path of the Door Sensor program which negates the 30 second timer and allows the 5 minute motion sensor timer to take precedent.
-
LeeG, as usual you are a tremendous help. This works and the motion seems to be pretty sensitive (which I prefer). The next level of tweaking I'd like to add is if I locally turn off the switchlinc, I'd like the motion sensor to pause it's sensing for motion. For example, when I'm exiting the garage into my basement and I click the switchlinc off and close the garage door, the motion picks up my motion of closing he door behind me and turns the lights back on. Any thoughts or ideas on this? I was also thinking of disabling the motion when the switchlinc is turned on locally and resorting to a programmed timer but because the MS seems to be so sensitive, I doubt the lights will ever turn off (with a 5min timer) while i'm in the middle of anything, especially a game of ping pong.

Bummer. Could someone help me with what my settings for the MS and a program should be in this case assuming the MS was not being confused by the lights? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had the MS in different places, never near the lights which are LED so minimal heat if any. Night only was disabled. I have 16 5k 48" bulbs that look like day light lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello all, I have a dual band switchlinc controlling my garage lights. I recently purchased an insteon motion sensor along with the 9-volt eliminator that I'd like to use in the mix. My goal is to have the motion sensor turn the lights on instantly for 10 minutes, lets say between sundown and sunset and constantly reset the 10 minute wait every time is senses motion. I play ping pong in the garage as well as work on various projects and obviously do not want the lights to go off in the middle of an activity. I've tried setting the motion sensor as the controller and the switchlinc as a responder but it seems that the motion sensor only senses for motion once the lights have turned on. I'm assuming the time the lights stay on is programmed internally to the motion sensor as I did not set up a program for this instance. Second I tried using a program and deleted the scene. I was using 10 seconds for testing purposes and again it seemed that when the program turned the lights on, the red led on the motion sensor no longer blinked indicating motion sensed, I assume because the lights were on. Therefore, after 10 seconds the lights would go off then back on as I was walking around in the room and waving my arms around like an idiot. I messed with some of the settings on the ISY but nothing seemed to get me closer to my goal. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Jerry

Got it! Thank you. I thought it would be possible without all of these programs but it does not seem so. Thanks for your help ~jerry

Eric, There does not seem to be a "Then, Set scene Button B Off" option. I can "Set On 15 / Off 1 (Backlight Level) or I can Adjust a scene which I'm not sure is what I want to do in this case.

Hey all! I am trying to use scenes in a way I've never done so before. In our bathroom I have the master On/Off of the 6 key dimmable switch controlling the overhead light, a micro on/off wired to the exhaust fast and a micro dim on each of the two mirror sconces. I am trying to have button A set the mirror lights to 100% while button B will set them to 65%, button C blank for now and button D controls the fan solely. First thing I did was assign button D to the micro on/off controlling the fan. If my wife opts to turn just the fan on but then presses the Off button, the fan was not going off until I included button D as a responder to the master on/off, so I got that one. Second, I created two scenes for the mirror sconces. Master Bath Mirror 1 and 2. In each scene I have both mirror sconce micro dims and Master Bath Light A and B respectively. I have A to turn on at 100% and B 65%. Problem 1: If I turn each scene on at the ISY, I get the 100% or 65% light I am requesting. When I press button B locally for 65%, it goes to 100%, never 65. Problem 2: If I press button A then press button B, both buttons are now "On". I would want button A's backlight to turn off when button B is pressed and visa versa. Do I need programs for this or can the buttons be manipulated using the scenes? Problem 3: If I press the master off button, I would want buttons A or B (depending on which scene is activated and button D (fan, if on) to all turn off. I have the fan turning off as stated above. I currently have a program (possibly the only way to turn buttons A and B off with the master off?) that states if Master Bath Light off, then turn Master Bath Light A and Master Bath Light B off. If I included Master Bath Light A and B as responders in a scene to Master Bath Light (on/off) I'm sure A and B would turn off when off was pressed but wouldn't they also turn on when "on" is pressed? I've used scenes with great success before but never used two different scenes for the same modules with one 6/8 button keypad. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, Jerry

Hello all! I will be having a sprinkler system in stalled within the next couple of weeks. I already have the EZFlora, weather module, EZBreakout and plan to us a rain sensor for 6 zones. I am wondering what some of your programs look like, what information you are incorporating from the weather module (if you are using it), the rain sensor (from what I'm gathering, there is no programming of the rain sensor, if it senses rain it simply shuts down the EZFlora) and any other idea or thoughts you have on the subject. Thanks for your support! ~Jerry

Teken, thank you for your reply. While at dinner, it dawned on me that the micro sense wires were not intended for the use I had in mind. When the floods went on (powering the red wire), the micro sensed that and toggles the load off/on. I have since disconnected the sense and all works fine, including my programs. Monitoring the sense wire is not a necessity so not a big deal. It would have been a nice option to have. -jerry Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hello all! Here is my setup and issue. I have 4 RAB Stealth motion lights on the back of my house with LED floods. Line (Black Wire) is wired to the sensors which when sense motions, send power to the Lights (Red Wire). I have the yellow sense wire connected to the Red Wire. My thought is that I can monitor how often the light comes on at night and do something in the future with that information, possibly. If I want the lights to come on and stay on regardless of motion, I have to turn power off/on/off/on within 2 seconds. If I want them to go back into Auto mode, off for 10 seconds and back on. I have a patio light switch that I wrote two programs for. If On, cycle the yard lights micro off/on/wait 1 sec/off/on. If patio Off, micro off/wait 10 seconds/on. In theory this should work, though there may be some minor tweaking needed. The issue is: When the micro switch is turn On, it quickly cycles off/on by itself. I've disabled programs to test. I've turn it On at the ISY and Mobilinc and in any instance, it cycles off then on rendering my programs useless. So On (me turning it on) then Off/On quickly. When turned off, it stays off. Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Also, how or where in the ISY can I access the sense or "view" it's status??? I'm new to the micro switches, especially the sense. Thank you, Jerry

Hello all, As of earlier today, my garage door sensor only updates if I right click and select query. I have made no changes within my ISY that could have caused this issue. Until last night, I was using no-ip.com to set a static IP for the ISY's IP address. I used these credentials to log into the ISY with Mobilinc. No-ip had an outage (found out today) that was stopping Mobilinc from working so last night, in a panic, I changed back to using Mobilinc Connect to log into them ISY with Mobilinc. I have no reason to go back to no-ip, it was just something different I was trying for a few months. Now today, the garage door sensor is on the fritz. Also, I have an 8 button KPL with one button in a scene with the garage door sensor. I then have a program set that when the kpl button is turned on or off, to turn the IOLinc for the garage door to on, wait 1 second then off. The KPL button is no longer initiating the program. Any thoughts?

As mentioned above, this works if you have done the back end stuff with ~ 100 programs to read / write variables to the ISY. The OP understandably does not want to do this. Correct, my needs are simple....I think??? lol maddbomber83, why did you do it your way? What are the pros and/or cons vs the way I chose?
