  1. Be going down this road myself. Still on the 4.6 because there does not seem to be a "translation" to moving to 5. yet. Just put in the first lock, need to get a second and then get them both talking to the isy deeper in the house.
  2. I was afraid that would be the case!
  3. now I only have 5 nodes on it instead of 8, how do I get my other 3 keys back?
  4. Is there an STL for the fixture to hold the buttons or maybe even a Fusion 360 drawing? Still want to get some button engraved, just keeps getting on a back burner.

    Schlage BE469

Curios if someone has found a good online source for buying the BE469 units? Home depot was $199 in the store the other day and I thought they were pretty high. Wanting to get a couple for in the yard type doors so they can be locked all the time but not require a kit to get in
  6. Checking in for an update, still on the dumb thermostat plan and would like something that could work with someday Schalge zwave locks, be a repeater and get my ISY talking to the thermostats!
  7. In the myQ api, can you get access to the temperature of the garage door control that it displays?
  8. I thought we had to redo some node names etc in the programs, is that not the case anymore fellows making the leap to the high capabilities? No zwave here either, someday get some zwave deadbolts, but those will require repeaters and a few other items to make it to where my isy994 lives.
  9. + 1 too please if any of you are doing this for some side cash, have a dozen or so buttons to have made up, maybe a dozen and a half if I do my irrigation zones too in a couple of places.
  10. Last I heard was nope and never, I would like it as I have one display and a couple of nodes for it. I believe even manually syncing them up can cause some issues?
  11. I saw a new Replace option if you right click on a keypad with another keypad, do not how how it does with programs and scenes as I have not tried it yet. have a few to migrate. Alan

    Old Ceiling Fan

Also good to note if you get a hum from the Fanlink or not and model of the ceiling fan. Doing some renovations and will run an extra wire out to the ceiling fan from a double gang box so I can control the ceiling fan remotely instead of having to find one that the fanlinc will fit into. Since we have to buy the fan new, hoping we don't have a remote in the fan the wife picks and that it will not hum with the fanlinc in control. Am looking forward to the keypad for the Fanlinc though, it's pretty self explanatory!
  13. After your experimenting, have any of you considered burning some buttons for those of us who haven't taken the laser engraver plunge yet? Or has anyone tried a commercial machine like you see wood etchings done? How about a 1/16" pointed cnc spiral bit to engrave the buttons?
  14. Just hooked up a battery powered SA521CN, and went looking for a thread like this about why so many items would not query. Pressed the button for 1 Mississippi, watched the flurry of messages and sure enough they all cleared up except for clear. Now i have 2 of them interconnected, one hard wired, the other wireless with the CO. Will pick up a couple more to wire into bedrooms over the next few months and feel much better over the cheapie Kiddie units. Alan
  15. Most excellent, i see it now as an option, logged in just to check. Not sure which release they fixed that in!
  16. Can the ISY994i automatically replace a keypad with another keypad or is this still a manual deal? Need to move a 6 key to an 8 key and would love to not spend an hour or so figuring out all the groups and programs to the new device?
  17. I would help sometimes if you can find real samples of real life situations. The video they show on the news show are always aweful and you cannot even tell what they are wearing a lot of the time. A few around me want to buy cameras, but as Teken indicated, the good ones are EXPENSIVE and I'd like a good one. Then we heard about all the bad firmware from China, so it's back to wondering what a good one would be.
  18. Why not use the laser engraver to make (may take a few passes) the tray you want to hold the buttons and paddles in place in the wood or plastic or whatever you want to use. Even a 1/16" or so is pretty deep to hold these small items in place. Always wanted to get a laser engraver since intricate paper patterns came out for scrapbooking in the wife's hobby. The cricuts and things like that are nice, but never quite as clean with that swivel knife as a laser would be with the paper.
  19. I bought one for the same types of purposes to use with the ISY, not realizing they did not really support them. You are a little further along than myself, never paired my monitor that does the washing machine to the base. That base lasts forever as a temperature display though, I do not believe I have put batteries in it since new 3 years or so ago. Would like to pair up the monitors so i could at least see them on it.
  20. How good is the vibration detection on one of these Aeontech 6 in 1 units? Was wondering if I could magnetically mount it to my dryer and find out when it's done?
  21. Admin console and ISY version both at 4.3.26 Hard reset completed, long beep obtained That worked much better, thank you Teken. 22. It's plugged into the same exact spot as the ISY PLM, There are no hops from there. Hence the problem. It beeps, tosses an error..

  24. I think it was the broken linc, at one point I had replaced a PLM and that motion sensor might not have gotten the old one removed. I factory reset it last night and re-added it, will see it it helps any. This weekend will pull the switch I just put in there, put in a box and attach right at the PLM and see if I get reliable communications or not. May have to buy that JLR bridge (if I have that name right). I have enough dual band, access points, filters etc, that I should be having no more issues period. i tossed out an on/off module the other day that even on the plm plug would not respond reliably.
  25. I have a motion sensor that would beg to differ with you, it blinks it's red light for a good 20 seconds after motion, and this switch that is giving me trouble has blink on traffic turned on. It just starting blinking for 20 seconds or so at a time, gotta wonder.. The level 3 console will show no activity while the switch is blinking. The circuit I am going to filter has the tivo on it as well, don't like to mess with the power much on those.
