Did a "factory reset" on the two wire dimmer and it was immediately thereafter recognized by the ISY.

After removing each of the KPLs (all 5 were v41) and adding it back, as directed by Michel Kohanim, all of my KPLs are now performing perfectly. Since a thunderstorm took out the power at my house immediately after I installed v4.0.5, I do not know if the following two issues are related to v4.0.5 but I am listing them in case others have similar issues. I had to delete and add back a Micro ON/Of (2443-222) after installing v4.0.5. I have not been able to get the ISY to recognize a SwitchLincâ„¢ 2-Wire Dimmer (2474DWH) installed in my bathrroom. This device is working normally when locally used.

Frequently and particularly after I installed 4.0.5.

Thunderstorms knocked out my power secods after I got 4.0.5 loaded on my ISY. Power just came back. 4.0.5 fixed the Scene Test problem. Still need suggestions on the Fan Button LED issue. Also I do not know if it is related to the power outage or 4.0.5 but the Two Wire Dimmer (2474DWH) I have in the bathroom is working locally but not being seen by the ISY.

I have been having a problem with a 2847S v.41 KPL. The linkages are fine. The scenes work as expected. Depressing buttons A, B, and C only illuminate the depressed button, however when I use the button labeled “D†(the fans highest speed) all four buttons labeled alphabetically illuminate. My most recent attempt to correct this problem consisted of doing a factory reset on the KPL and doing the “restore links†on all of the scenes associated with the KPL. This had no effect. What can I try next? As a side issue I have not been able to do a “Scene Test†on any of the ISY Scenes. I right click on any scene, select “Diagnostics†from the right-click menu, then select “Scene Test†and nothing happens.

Not sure where this belongs but it directly effects the use of the smoke bridge. "A new Maryland law takes effect July 1. It requires battery-operated smoke alarms in homes have batteries that last ten years. State fire officials hope the new technology and the new law will save lives."

I guess I will buck the trend. I have been using a 2441TH Since January 2013. I had one incident where a heat setpoint seemed to change. SO! I wrote some ISY programs that reset the setpoints once per hour. No more problems.

Is there any difference in the timing of the "Fast On" vice "On" and the timing of the "Fast Off" vice "Off" comands when used in ISY programs?

UDI Tech Support determined that the PLM was working properly, however the Micro Dimmer (Insteon pn #2442-222) was not reporting when it was switched on. It was suggested that I contact SmartHome and inquire if it is supposed to report switching. SmartHome Tech Support advised me to remove the Micro Dimmer from the ISY system. Then, via the sense line turn the Micro Dimmer on and with it in the on state add it into the ISY system. That fixed the problem! Correction!! That fixed the problem for only two cycles.

LeeG FW & UI are both 3.3.10 My update checker says I have the latest version of JAVA. Windows XP with all updates. I have moved my ISY into a position from which I can watch the Tx & Rx LEDs. I do not see any LEDs illuminate when I execute the "Show PLM Links Table" command. When I execute the "PLM Info/Status" command I get "1F.21.A9 V98 / connected".

I do not get any.

PLM purchased with ISY994i/IR PRO around 26 November 2012 from SmartHome. Seems to be a lot of PLM failures recently.

When I did the show PLM Links Table I got a blank table. Whe i hit the count button I got a zero. Just to try it, I turned some lights on/off that works. I then did the Restore Modem operation. The PLM Links Table is still empty.

XATHROS: I did as you suggested, results -- 5 identical lines. Then retriggered the Micro Dimmer as expected, same result. Not seen by ISY.

I just tried doing the right click and the 'Run Then' that you suggested. The program runs as expected. Just to see what would happen, I also tried replacing the "Micro Dimmer is switched on" with "RemoteLinc 2-H is switched on" that also ran as expected.

I just received a 2442-222, Micro Dimmer. I hooked it up in a test circuit with a load of a 60 watt light bulb and a multi-meter in parallel. I have used both a RemoteLinc 2 and 120 volts on the sense line to trigger the micro dimmer. The light bulb illuminates and the multi-meter show 120 volts on the load line. The following program never executes. I worked with many real time systems before I retired. I am just wondering if the UDI system has a name and documented rules.

I have been looking through the UDI WIKI and Forum and have not been able to find any specific set of rules for naming Scenes and/or Devices. Do any rules exist? Where do I find them?

You mentioned florescent lights in one of your posts. Florescent lights are notoriously noisy. Another source of noise that is becoming prevalent in the US are smart meters. Many installations of X10s are also having problems with noise on the power lines. Speaking as electrical engineer, I was one during the space race; I would suggest you try some line filters. SmartHome has many on their web site. The problem is causing new solutions to be offered as well. I have no idea whose web site this URL belongs to (http://jvde.us/xtb_index.htm) but it sure demonstrates the growing prevalence of a power line noise problem.

Since this is the ISY function I am playing with at this time, if there is no objection, I will start deleting the older discussions of "Mutually Exclusive" in the UDI WIKI.
