One of my 8 button Insteon switches just died. Can anyone recommend a Zwave device that is similar? Doesn't necessarily have to be an 8 button but at least 4 would be nice. I'm looking at a Zooz 700 5 button scene controller that looks nice but I want to make sure it would work with eIsy

With my old ISY, it used to find it automatically and now I have to type it in manually. Then it is saved for a few weeks but the for some reason, it forgets the address and I have to jump through hoops to get it working again. Kind of a PITA.

Thanks for the response. I show that I have version 5.7.0_1. I did the Upgrade Packages and it seems like nothing actually happens and it still shows the same version but now the programs do seem to work for whatever reason. Most of them are still in Red though. I'm not sure what that means but they are working. I guess green is good. Yellow means there is a problem with the program but what does Red mean?

My Eisy has the latest firmware. All devices seem to be working fine but one day, all of my programs just stopping running. They now all show as disabled and almost all of them are in RED. I've tried rebooting and also unplugging the PLM but no change. Any ideas as to what might be happening?

Polyglot does NOT allow me to log in for some reason. No changes were made and when I click login, it just sits there like an assH***

Would be nice if there were a more robust error message. It seem like often my program do not run and I have to spend a lot of time figuring out A: How to log into Polyglot and B: trying to figure out which service is not running properly. This was supposed to be plug and play and now all my greenhouse plants are dead since the fan did not turn on

Is there any way to use the Blink camera's motion sensor to trigger an ISY event?

I have the Eisy and Zwave/Zmatter dongle plugged in. Latest version of software for everything. When I try to add a Zwave device, Eisy does not recognize anything. It listens but never finds anything. I have a simple plug switch and also a multisensor motion/temp sensor that I'm trying to pair. Do I need some kind of a ZWave hub or something? Things were working fine with my ISY994i

Yes, I received my cable kit and the Eisy is now working. There was initially a problem which was caused by me switching from Wifi to a wired connections. I had set it up initially to use Wifi but decided it would be better to connect direcly to my router and that caused a problem since the Eisy was still try to connect via Wifi AND wired. Support did a remote session and fixed everything. I have not been able to pair any ZWave devices though. I do have the USB dongle installed.

Never mind. I figure it out. You have to enter a custom parameter with the Key as REFRESH_TOKEN and Value, the token. This was not clear to me initially. I wish the fields would be automatically generated for us novices

Has anyone been able to get TeslaEV to work? It asks for a token, which I can supply but there is no filed in the config for me to add that. I can add a field manually but I don't know what to enter and where.

Thanks for the tips. I don't have VPN and I'm on the same network. Typing in the IP manually always seems to work though. I did have to get UD support to look into a strange issue with connectivity that turned out to be caused by me starting with eisy in Wifi mode and then switching to wired. It was still trying to connect both ways and causing a conflict.

Mysteriously it has begun to work again. I think somehow my PLM was stuck. Thanks!

Periodically, when I load the Administrative Console, it will give me a System Busy dialog box and run for what seems like hours with 0% - 100% and then starting over. I think it may be loading each of my Insteon devices and writing changes or something but I'm not sure why it is doing that without me asking.

Not sure if this is the problem people are having or not. The IoX Finder USED to find my ISY automatically but for the life of me, I cannot get it to do that no matter what I try. I now have to Add the address, http://192.168.x.x:8080. It would not work unless up put the port number. This is now for the Eisy.

I have previously used Polyglot Cloud and installed a few nodes that were migrated to PG3. However, none of the nodes seem to work and there appear to be phantom nodes that I cannot delete. They are taking up a slot but some do not even show in my inventory. Is there a way to wipe Polyglot clean and start over?

Never mind. I did not realize that you have to connect the PLM to the Eisy USB port. NOT the RJ45 port which is only for Wifi. I just ordered the UD convertor cable. I'm a bit disappointed this was not more clear so I could have ordered it along with the Eisy.

So would I be able to simply wire up a CAT 5 cable with RJ45 plugs on each end and if so, can anyone tell me exactly how to wire it?

I'm a bit confused. I have a 2413S PLM that I've been using for years with an ISY. It has an RJ45 port and I've always just used a regular ethernet cable to connect it to my ISY. I just received my Eisy and it does not seem to recognize the PLM via the RJ45 cable. I don't have the original PLM cable and I'm confused on how to get it working. Can I just rewire a CAT 5 cable with RJ45 plugs and get it connected or do I have to buy the UD serial conversion kit? Before I bought the Eisy, UD support told me my PLM would work with it so I was taken off guard that some versions may not.

I have an Insteon motion sensor in my garage that triggers a program which turns on the lights when it senses motion and that program then runs another program that turns the lights off. Everything works great but the problem is that at times I want to be able to override the turn-off part if I'm going to be working in the garage. I haven't found a way to do this. Any suggestions?
