  1. Thanks for everything over the years. NodeLink and it’s xxxlinks before it are a huge part of my home automation.
  2. Will that mean reworking programs?
  3. My current use case is it to program a reboot of ISY on time change nights to get it back in sync. If it’s easy to do, would be great. Now I have a email sent to make me manually reboot. May all be moot if US legislature puts us on DST permanently. I can’t help but think that other use cases exist. Also, think I recalled it was a command from ISY to reboot computer that xxxLink was running on that I remember. Is move to net 5 next big change?

    ISY Reboot

Is there a way to use NodeLink to send a reboot to the ISY. I recall there was with xxxLink programs but cant locate it here. Thanks
  5. For this type connection, get very fine gauge stranded wire. Put solder on the end of the wire with a tiny bit extra near the end. Place wire tip at the point on PCB and then heat wire and solder point at same time to fuse them together. You don’t have to put solder direct to board.
  6. Glad it’s working for the most part. I’m still not completely clear on the other motor. If there is something independent that you want to control, maybe a micro module could be wired in to control it as part of a scene. Depending on space you might be able to hide a relay with button or inline relay (think someone posted they were out of stock) if amps exceeds a micro module. Also, as lilyoyo1 stated, the 2487S will dim as part of a scene but not when directly wired. Was odd to me too.
  7. Thanks. To OP, you need to closely read how to setup fan speed scenes with keypadlinc buttons A-D. It was far from intuitively obvious to me.
  8. I’m making a lot of assumptions to help you think through based on what you’ve written but would need a wiring diagram to understand layout and maybe suggest a solution. If you don’t fully understand the process then get an electrician. That said... Think through putting a wire nut on the red load wire of the 2487S which effectively unlinks it from direct control of anything. Run wires to the FanLinc so it’s always got power (wired hot). In 2487S switch box,the hot black wire coming in with power wired to black (line) on switch and to black wire going out of box to the fanlinc electrical box. Same logic for white wire but on 2487S white wire is marked as neutral. These wires would be wired to fanlinc neural and line wires giving it power all the time. You might use scenes linked to buttons on the 2487S to control the fan and it’s light. Lastly sounds like you could create a scene including switch from overhead lights, 2487s, and fanlinc lights node to have them be in sync on lighting. Again, NOT offered as a solution. Just something to aid you in thinking it through.
  9. Yes, I think additional interest will help make longer term case. Also, Schlage has outsourced the cloud portion to a firm called Yonomi so contact them too.
  10. I’ve been in touch with the Schlage group. They indicated there were no immediate plans to open the Encode API for HA use. At this points, it’s all Commerical and/or paid usage. Couldn’t get beyond that point.
  11. Is it just me or has TapaTalk stopped working with the forum?
  12. I captured a log of an attempt to write updates to lock. Log starts with "Write scene Links....". Anyone, what scenes could it be writing with ZWave deadbolt? There is more to the log but not sure if security information may be in some of the long hex strings. Sun 09/06/2020 10:48:13 AM : [UZW-CMD 51 ] [ZWCMD cmd.51] Sun 09/06/2020 10:48:15 AM : [ZWAVE-WAKEUP 17] Force writes to ZW017_1 Sun 09/06/2020 10:48:15 AM : [ZWAVE-WAKEUP 17] Write Scene Links for awakened device ZW017_1
  13. Thanks for update. I can do everything except lock, unlock and query from ISY. Confirm if they will work. Lock sends status to ISY about locked, unlocked, usernum, and battery %.
  14. Nevermind I threw away morninglinc interface and lock set because I disliked it so much.
  15. Thanks. I did that yesterday. It’s back again today.
  16. What does it mean when you have green arrow with |1011> next to a zwave node -- Schlage Deadbolt (BE469Z)? I tried to move to 500 series board yesterday (6 total nodes ) and I failed so reverted to 300 board and restored ISY backup to get rid of several phantom nodes. After retuning to 3oo board and restoring, the net result was this lock would not function at all. Finally excluded the node and reset lock to factory defaults , added it back and fixed all programs. I healed network and got things back in order as near as I could tell after spending off and on all day Friday working through it. The last thing I did were heal a few times and test and it appeared good. I Was evaluating lock this morning and it will not respond to lock or unlock. I didn't do anything to request it be updated like heal, sync, or repair since last night.
  17. Where in the wiki? Found it.
  18. This is why I continue to gamble that SH and Insteon remains. Scenes should be in zwave protocol. SH introduced (to me) them with X10 devices by allowing a device to have multiple addresses many years ago.

    Insteon 2477D

Start process of adding device to ISY. When you press and hold button it will pop up in add device dialogue box. Make sure to check delete existing links. I have a cut off extension cord with wire nuts that I connect switches to ISY so It’s near PC before moving them to final location. Make sure to trace hot and neutral from extension cord plug so you get them correct on switch wiring. The wider plug is neutral.
  20. Respectfully, you need to tone down the attitude. People want to help you but not if you keep lashing out at them. I for one am done providing assistance until you at least acknowledge you are asking for direction and not looking to yell at anything aimed to give you a place to start. I hope you treat your customers with more respect
  21. Task list to migrate from 4.x to 5.0.15/16 https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/26381-upgrade-from-473-to-5015a-task-list/?tab=comments#comment-262367 Or search for my posts in TapaTalk Upgrade from 4.7.3 to 5.0.15A task list.
  22. Blue man in post above gave the number to look for in AC administration Console. The move from 4.8 to 5.0.16 requires planning and time dedication. The technology has changed a lot in last several years. UDI is working to get you there but it can’t be painless migration between 4 and 5. I’ve been on 5.0.15 for about a year and it’s fantastic. I posted a how to guide which I’ll locate and point to in the next post.
  23. 1. 300 series Zwave board has a blue led on back of case. You can also look at AC under zwave and their is a number that tells you. 2. You should stay with 5.0.16 rc1 until you upgrade board to 500 series 3. See above, 5.1 RC2 and 5.2 RC3 are not recommend with 300 series board. Many people had terrible migration issues issues from 5.0.x versions. 4. You should upgrade to 500 series board before you move to 5.1 or 5.2
  24. This is way in the weeds about zwave plus but my Schlage BE469 deadbolts are version prior to the BE469ZP versions. Any issues with them on 500 series board? Any reason to consider replacing them? They are the only two Zwave devices I need to have stay near 100% reliable.
