I’m considering replacing my pC1864 panel with Eyez-On Uno panel. Has anyone done this and how did replacement go? Also, did it work well with this plugin. I assume it would given they both use the EVL interface from Eyez-On..

I’ve not seen it discussed here (could have missed it) but starting with 6.1.1 from Michel’s release notes there is a built in restore point that enables us to revert back to the prior version if something happens during an upgrade. Look at eISY-ui System Boot environment. My upgrades have always been fine but it’ll be beyond value if one ever fails. My home is run by eISY. Saying happy wife happy life. Add to that happy eISY I’m not too busy.

Can’t be wait to use it to write programs (maybe not as I enjoy using the brain cells) and do research. Thanks, Michel.

In the new eisl-ui, there are 3 update repositories. Production, Beta, and Staging. This give UD the ability to tell you they could use your help or you need a feature/fix not yet ready for all users the Beta level or in rare cases the Staging level. The reason I asked is the 6.1.2 only shows under the Staging level from my view.

Just updated. Took about 15 minutes from start to reboot! First look at programs in eisy-ui looks good. Great job UD team!

I have it and it works with the Rin plugin.

What version of eISY and FreeBSD are you currently running. If it’s old, that’s when a full usb stick is required.

I have REST with local username and password using port 8080 on eISY

I don’t know if MobiLinc still works. The last time I used it, it still worked. You could move back but I’d be surprised if that was needed since you only have Insteon it should be a slam dunk. Just make sure your PLM is either USB version or get the USB to serial device. Locate the official directions and follow them. UD Mobile works great and is what replace MobiLinc for me. I only used geo fencing with it a bit and dont know how extensive your setup is. Alexa does not require MobiLinc. You will use UD Portal. If you are using MobiLinc for that you’ll have to remove it and add the Alexa Skill for UD Mobile and enter in your spokens. Lite just has less RAM-and disk. R2 was spec’d before the price of RAM and ssd drastically increased so UD simply decreased them to all that was actually needed for most users needs to get price lower.

So I’m clear, what do you need to remove from local settings so it will only use portal?

@Goose66 i went ahead and added it and ran discovery. It show up immediately! The attributes shown are Temperature and Battery Level. Is Connection status in the Venstar API so it could potentially be added to the node server?

@Goose66 Does the node server support details like connection status and battery % for the WiFi remote sensor? I was doing a few searches before I considered installing one that I’ve had in box for years to see if it did that in skyport and came across a post that it was available in Home Assistant.

Reboot and same result on synchronization. I’ve also fully removed the app and added back including restore favorites. Tested both local and remote connection from app with success.

I just downloaded latest version of UD mobile on iOS. I’m getting many errors on sync. It had been great until this version. No control even for Insteon devices I can’t select all the errors but here is a screen shot from top

Yes, they will all change. It’s a little tedious but not difficult. Getting the full list of programs in a text file is an absolute must for the migration. I do it all the time as part of my normal backup sequence. I think I renamed all the nodelink nodes by adding a Capital _B at the end of their names so I could use my preferred names with the plugin nodes during their setup. Then I updated the programs to use the desired names before deleting the nodelink function for say DSC nodelink.

I used nodelink too and used it for a short time after the migration to eISY. Io_guy was great developer but nodelink no longer has active support. Therefore I moved over to the DSC polyglot plugin and it is excellent. The author bpowers is fantastic developer providing support. Took a little time but was not hard. Planning was biggest work I don’t know about CAI. If it’s in the plugin store, (forum has a sub-site for each one too) it likely is good but some of the plugin authors are better than others. Until it breaks, you could continue to use nodelink. I used several of its nodes and migrated them one at a time to plugins.

Yes, upgrade. I have a more complex system in number of devices and plugins. The only issue I had migrating was some older Schlage ZWave deadbolts. With Michel’s help got them over. Eventually replace them with new WiFi and matter versions to get Apple Key. As mentioned, it’s been relatively quite here but UD team are busy making big investments in the ecosystem to move us all forward on the eISY hardware.
