  1. My Event Viewer on my EISY lists many entries of "Create REST U7". I would like to know what is generating these entries and why. If someone could point me to a resource. What is actually frustrating me is the excerpt from the Event Viewer above. It occurs everyday and changes with sunset times. I have gone through all my scenes and programs and cannot find anything to turn it on at this time. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Otherwise everything works flawlessly.

    Repurposing EISY?

How much would take for it?
  3. I am a member of this club as well. So I am thinking the problem is most likely common to us all. Something messed up with Polyglot? Interesting, my Portal suddenly came back online.
  4. mmb, Thank you for your reply. It would be nice to know what information the message is trying impart. I will just ignore it. Thanks again
  5. I have had an EISY up and running for many months now and it is doing everything I want it to do. Quite happy with it. Today I discovered that the error log has the same error repeated every second and multiple time per second. I have Firmware and UI both on version IoX V.5.7.0 The error I am getting is; Mon 2023/09/18 20:33:58 0 -170001 <s:Envelope><s:Body><u:GetSysConf xmlns:u="urn:udi-com:service:X_IoX_Service:1"><name>./FILES/CONF/root.DBU</name></u:GetSysConf></s:Body></s:Envelope> What is the error, can and/or should it be fixed and how? The log file gets enormous quickly. Many thanks for any help here. edwaud

    eisy appears dead

A factory reset alone did not cure the problem. It came back to life only after disconnecting the power for a time.

    eisy appears dead

I have had this eisy January 12. After some effort, I managed to migrate my 994 over to it. Yesterday, Jan 23, I made a few changes within the Admin Console. Everything was working fine although I have not been able to access PG3 yet. Then, this afternoon, I asked Alexa to turn on a printer and she responds that the eisy is not responding. I check and UD Moblile shows it offline. I logged into the isy portal and it was offline there. Its ip appears in isy finder but cannot bring up admin console. I tried a reboot, no luck. The first time I looked at the os log it said there was no ethernet so the ethernet cable was changed. The router showed eisy connected at 192.168.1.147. Anothrt reboot. The attached log is the last one. I do not know what 'mdns service' and 're0 ' are. So it appears that the system is running, it must be connected to the network or the log could not be accessed. What is going on with admin console? Any help will be much appreciated. I have not tried a factory reset yet.
  8. Or is the EISY not listening for signals from switches?
  9. Thank you for your response. I tried your suggestions without success. I keep checking the Event Viewer and notice that none of the switch actions are being returned to EISY. The only node in my system that is returning is a motion sensor that I did a reset on. Doing a factory reset, restore device or write updates on the switch does not solve this.
  10. The nodes in the program are insteon switches. I was wrong about the switches showing in the Event Viewer, they do not. I have now found that the EISY is not hearing from switches or motion sensors. I am wondering if this is a PLM problem.
  11. My problem seems to be similar to that described by trevost on January 15, 2023. Finished migration to EISY and have most things working but have a program problem. Whenever a program is controlled/triggered by switch being switched ‘on or off’ or ‘fast on or off’ nothing happens. This is one of those programs. The switching on or off of both of these switches appears in the Event Viewer. So EISY is hearing them but the program is not hearing. The ‘then’ and ‘else’ statements work when run from admin console. My EISY is running loX v.5.5.3 (2023-01-09-09-09:27:50)
  12. Thank you for the response. That is exactly the answer I was looking for.
