Thank you, drprm1!

I purchased an EISY and have spent hours researching how to get into PG3 to purchase node servers, without success. I can access it via the EISY main menu, but the login page isn't working. I A few things I've tried: Cleared Cache. Per the Wiki, use the default admin/admin (which is also what the EISY was currently set to). Per the Wiki, I changed the default user/password on EISY admin console, and then it says that login will work for PG3. Used the ISY Portal login. Tried combinations of username from Portal, email address from portal, admin console username, default/default, and combinations of all the above passwords and usernames but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? I just want to see what all is available for purchase to see what EISY is capable of doing. Thx!

Great advice, all. Thank you kindly.

Fantastic, thank you! I just wasn't finding it on there but I didn't think to look for a factory reset. I appreciate it!

I've moved my ISY 994i IR Pro (and PLM) to a new house, leaving behind all of my old Insteon devices. What's the easiest way to delete everything from the ISY so I can start fresh with new devices & programs? I was afraid if I reformatted the SD card that I wouldn't be able to connect to it any longer and wanted to ask beforehand. Thanks!

Thanks, I’ll look for the upgrade code, and that’s a good consideration for my Elk security system!

Thanks bhihifi - good information to consider for an upgrade to Pro!

Thank you both for the excellent summary and for talking me into upgrading - ha. I see the Polisy list supports many more devices (77 more as of today) than the Polyglot Cloud did. Looks well worth investing in.

I'm trying to convince myself it's worth the upgrade from an ISY 994i Pro to Polisy as I prepare to move, but I need help talking myself into it. If I understand, Polisy is basically ISY software running on a computer instead of dedicated hardware (Plus some additionally supported devices). Is the computer-based ISY as solid as the 994i Pro is? (I'm thinking of how often my computers around the house lock up and need rebooted to revive them, whereas I never have to do that with the ISY) Polisy's Node Server is an improved version of ISY's Node Server and supports some additional devices such as Ring and Tesla, although it appears my ISY can also support those same devices (Polyglot-Cloud). Is there a list of supported devices (ISY vs. Polisy)? The new house has many WiFi devices (Fireplace, garage door openers, Doorbells, appliances, light switches, thermostat...) but if I upgrade to Polisy, I don't know that any of them would be supported Polisy Pro adds the WiFi/Bluetooth module for wireless networking. Does Pro contain any additional features? Any other benefits to upgrading from my ISY 994i Pro to Polisy? Thanks!

Manually programming it to Non-Toggle OFF still causes the LED to turn on when sending an off. I finally got 2 keypads to work, but I'm not positive how. The second keypad I ended up deleting the scene completely, recreating it with the control button set to turn ON, and then setting the keypad's toggle mode to Non-toggle off. Then I changed the scene such that the control button turns Off, and then it saved it such that the button LED blinks on then off again when I press it. Very tricky and confusing.

There's no way to change 'default' since that button is the Controller for the scene. All of those normal options at the bottom of the screen are missing for a scene Controller button. Yes, the button is sending DOF 0, and the LED turns on. Great idea, I will try programming the button outside of the ISY.

Thanks - I have them set to Non-Toggle OFF, but the button LEDs turn ON if you press them. I do have a program to turn that LED off if the button is pressed, but it seems like the scene should control that, but the scene value is "default" (whatever that is).

I have several Insteon KeypadLincs with a button that's set to NON-TOGGLE (On or Off) to control a scene. I had the button LED OFF when I set it to Non-Toggle, however, whenever I press the button, the LED light turns ON and stays that way with each button press (Doesn't matter if it's set to Non-Toggle ON, or Non-Toggle OFF). Is there a way to have the button LED remain OFF at all times, or are all non-toggle buttons always lit? The ISY status for this button (5-button keypad, Button D) shows it's OFF, even after a Query, but it is really ON/lit. NOTE: If I manually turn the scene off with the ISY as the 'Controller', THEN the LED will turn off because I can set the button's status to OFF in the scene. But if I press the button to activate the scene, the LED turns ON because the action is "default" and can't be changed that I can see - is there a way?

Thanks, I had read on here that ISY supports 32G, but maybe that's just for new hardware. Mine is several years old now.

UI and firmware match. This is newly formatted computer, with new startup for ISY and everything is fresh, but it's the same here as well. I just noticed this in a couple of programs have unrecognized actions: Dark Outside LED - [ID 0017][Parent 000F] If $S.Status_Daylight is 0 Then // Warning: Unrecognized Action (program may not run) // <cmd NODE="240" ID="DON"/> // Else // Warning: Unrecognized Action (program may not run) // <cmd NODE="240" ID="DOF"/> //

I saw I was getting "Out of Memory" errors in the ISY-994 IR Pro, even though it has 28 Gig free. I bought a new memory card, completely started fresh with 0 devices and programs, but "Out of Memory" continues to appear as I add new devices and programs. Is the ISY just 'shot', or is it an issue with the beta firmware I'm on (5.0.16C)?

THANK YOU - I was trying all kinds of crazy stuff to find an approval request, and finally decided UD locked me out and I had to wait for them to approve something. WHY can't they just tell you what you need to do - UGH!!! Thanks again, very helpful.

I greatly appreciate the help!

ISY-994i/IR Pro with V5 Firmware Any guidance on supported Micro SD cards? I read sizes up to 32G, but what about speed? I want the ISY to perform at peak speed (Including network module speed), but don't want to buy into speeds the ISY can't utilize or buy something incompatible that won't even function. HC? UHS-3? Class 2...10, etc.?

I have tried endlessly to add an Open/Close Sensor V.00 2843-222 to a scene. I always get "TCP client request failed [FYP:403]". Device had previously been in this same scene (and in fact still controls the scene even though it's not in it any longer). I'm just trying to clean up my ISY so it properly shows as being part of the scene. - ISY994i V 5.0.16A and V 5.0.16B - Open/Close Sensor is blinking in "set mode" as expected - The Open/Close Sensor communicates very well (the light turns on every time I open the door, and turns off every time I shut the door). - ISY updates On/Off status when the door is opened or closed (Any chance this can be changed to Open & Closed instead of On/Off?) - It is also within 5 feet of several Insteon dual-band devices.

It's a 2456S3 ApplianceLinc V2. BINGO! You just resolved that issue. The load is currently unplugged (my parrot ate the power cord, luckily the ApplianceLinc was OFF at the time). I plugged a fan into it, and now it succeeds. Thank you for all of your assistance with these questions!

Is there a way to resolve the duplicates? Since I did a restore device, and restore links between device & PLM, I'm wondering if the ISY itself is corrupt? Here's an attachment for another (2 device) scene that I just created. It has a troublesome ApplianceLinc (Seems to turn on/off okay, but fails Scene Test every time). It shows up 3 times in a row (highlighted in yellow), is that what you mean by duplicates?

Hi Oberkc - interesting! No, it isn't in a program. SO! I Factory reset the suspicious "Candle" EZIO2x4 since every member of every scene it's a part of, fails a scene test. After a restore device, now all members of those scenes PASS (odd!). Still another issue occurring. One device (Dual Band On/Off module) always fails in the original "All Accent Lights" scene, but always PASSES in the newly created duplicate of that same scene. I tried a factory reset on the module, restore device, Remove & Re-add device to the scene, restore link between device & PLM - nothing works. Just for kicks, I removed ALL devices from "All Accent Lights" scene and did a scene test. Oddly, it popped up a window saying, "Failed reading device link 'Cabinet Lights'" and "Failed reading device link 'Candle'" ... the 2 devices I've been having issues with. I ended up having to delete the scene and will use the duplicate of it going forward. I've now found another device that is failing in all scenes (ApplianceLinc V2), even if I create a new scene and add it to it. It turns on & off okay from the ISY/scenes & by controllers. I tried a factory reset, restore device, and restore links between device & PLM. Feeling uneasy...

Yes, all devices in (most of) my scenes fail - even scenes with 20-40 devices in them, all fail the scene test. I created a test scene with all the same members as "All Accent Lights". I gradually removed each device from the scene and retested the scene test until it passed. What I found was that all members pass the scene test UNLESS my EZIO2x4 (Relay 1) is a member of a scene. If I add this device to a scene, then ALL devices in that scene will show "FAILED" in the scene test. I removed it from the scene and added another EZIO2x4 Relay 1 to the scene, and all are "Succeeded" now. Tomorrow I will take a look at this device closer, what's attached to it, and potentially replacing it. It's in the same outlet as the PLM, by-the-way. One other oddity - one On/Off dual-band module still fails every time in the original "All Accent Lights" scene, but succeeds every time in my test scene. I've tried removing & re-adding the device to the scene, restoring device, comparing it ot the PLM link table, and restore link between device and controller. It simply refuses to pass the test in one scene, but is okay in the other. ODD! The PLM with the RemoteLinc issue is 2413S V2.0
