I expected the ELSE statement below to execute if the "Den Light" changes state to anything other than ON, but it's not. If "Den Light" is turned off (Switched On is false), shouldn't the Else statement run? If not, what WOULD cause the ELSE statement to execute? Thanks!! If Control 'Den Light' is switched On Then Set 'Holiday Lighting' On Else Set 'Holiday Lighting' Off

Thanks again, Lee!

Thank you! That's very helpful info. I thought from the above post with duration of 10=about .5 sec, then 250 should be around 12.5 sec. Have you thought about having just had a 'beep' command rather than settings from 0-250 that don't really do anything, or is there some value to the durations in other products?
-
Hi Michael - My ISY is on 3.1.5... I was searching for info on the "Beep duration" and came across this post & simply replied. PS: I just installed a new SwitchLinc, and it also ignores "Beep duration". 1-250 is just a short chirp. If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Set '1000W Dimmer' 250 (Beep Duration) Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

I just got a new Keypadlinc so I could use the beep's for status alerts, but it seems no matter what I set the beep duration to, it only gives a brief chirp. Beep 1 is the same as beep 250. I'm also seeing some oddities in the LED brightness. If On=15, and all I do is change Off from 0 to 1, the ON level changes as well (much brighter). Does this sound like a defective Keypadlinc?

I must not have successfully reset it before when I tried that. I just did it again, and now I have a clean plate. Thanks!

I need to delete all the devices & programs from my ISY since I have moved, and the devices from the old house are now 'void'. Is there an easy way to reformat, other than possibly taking it apart and removing the SD card and reformatting it?

VERY minor, but ... Normally the java ICON for the Admin Console is a house on a clear background. With 2.7.12, it's a black background, and there are 5 squiggly white lines thru the icon block like lightning bolts. I thought something was corrupt on my computer, but when I installed it on another computer, I got the same thing.

I had to delete the scene and make BOTH buttons controllers, otherwise there were no sliders to set on/off levels for the scene. Thanks!
-
I went to assign 2 buttons on my KeypadLinc as mutually exclusive in 2.7.11, and I didn't see a "Mutually Exclusive" button like was there in previous versions. I clicked on "Buttons Grouping" and found Mutually Exclusive sets there, but it says that feature is being done away with, and should be done via Scenes now. I created a scene with the 2 buttons: -Button C: Controller -Button D: Responder But how do you tell the scene to turn button D off when C is on? There's no way to set the on/off status like in regular scenes with actual Insteon devices being controlled. The buttons are simply status LEDs, like "Home" vs. "Away". They are not linked to a module. Thanks!

Firmware 2.7.11 ALPHA Is Now Available

Java temporary disk space is set to 1000M & cache should be clear. Let's try again... (Running 2.7.11, verified in Admin console) - Closed browsers, cleared Java Cache (Admin concole icon dissapears from desktop). - Click the link, it downloads & installs the Java app and adds an icon to my desktop, then opens the admin console. - I close the console, and reopen it using the new desktop icon. - It says an optional update is available, so I say "OK" update the application. It then opens the console, but always asks me to update whenever I click the icon. Probably not a big deal, if I install the "http://isy/admin.jnlp" icon instead, it works perfectly. I'm just not sure what it is about the "http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.7.11/admin.jnlp" application that makes it always want to update. -
Firmware 2.7.11 ALPHA Is Now Available

Why does the "99i Administrative Console" icon (from: http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.7.11/admin.jnlp) always open with the following message, "An optional update is available. Do you want to update the application?" If I tell it to update, the same message continues to pop up whenever you click the icon. The "Administrative Console" icon (from: http://isy/admin.jnlp) works okay, but every time I upgrade, it deletes the icon and I have to figure out which of the 6 methods it is that creates the working icon. (Guess I should write it down - lol) -
Firmware 2.7.10 ALPHA Is Now Available

2.7.10: I created a new program and saved it. The "Enabled" check box was checked, but Program Summary & Program Details showed it as disabled. I had to uncheck, then re-check, the "Enabled" check box, and save it to correct the problem. -
I had a desktop icon for the Admin Console. I used the icon when I upgraded from 2.7.7 to 2.7.9, and then after upgrading, the icon would do nothing when I clicked on it. I tried deleting it and re-isntalling 2.7.9 (with the zip file on my desktop), but it did not recreate the icon.

Sometimes when I click "Add" on Email/Notifications, it won't let you create a recipient because all the buttons are grayed out except "Ok" and "Cancel". If you select an email type in the drop down box, it won't let you click "Add". I think this is why I ended up clicking "Cancel" and getting the cancel flag stuck. The first 2 went very smoothly, but the 3rd one wouldn't let me add until I closed the Admin Console and re-opened it.
-
I can't figure out how to add an email address... Here's what I'm doing: 1. Click "Add" and enter name 2. Double Click Recipients (N/A) on the "Emails/Notifications" screen to get pop-up for Add, Edit, Remove. 3. Select "Verizon Text". Add, Ok, and Remove All are grayed out. The only options are "Remove" (there are no recipients at this point) or Cancel. 4. Click "Remove" to enable the "Add" and "OK" buttons. 5. Click "Add", which adds "Enter your 10digitphonenumber here@vtext.com" to the recipient list. 6. Change text to 555-555-1212@vtext.com format 7. Click "OK" (Only options are OK or Cancel) 8. Recipient list still shows "N/A", so I click Save... still shows "N/A" 9. Double click the "N/A" recipient and try to edit it, but the Recipient list is blank, and the only options are "OK" or "Cancel". 10. Tried selecting a different carrier, but "OK" and "Cancel" are still the only options. 11. Click on the "Recipients" header in the Add, Edit, Remove window, and that will enable the "Remove" button. SO I click "Remove", even though the list is empty. 12. This loops me back to #3 above... still won't let me add. Is this a bug, or am I blindly doing something stupid? Thanks!

Timeout is the default value. The ISY Status graph is showing it tripped 31 times 6PM - midnight (dark) yesterday, so I'm guessing it sees something similar during the day. It tripped 9 times in 1 hour this morning (It's in the kitchen) before it came out of night-only mode.
-
Darrell: All mine are Rev 1.1. Three are in night-only mode and drain batteries within weeks. None have ever given a low battery signal to the ISY. (Using Duracell Coppertop Alkaline)
-
I have a night-only MS that I've replaced repeatedly thru SmartHome because max. battery life is typically 1-2 weeks. In fact, I have yet another sitting here right now waiting to be returned. Thank you for sharing your findings; I'll stop using night mode!
-
I've been wanting this functionality as well!
-
Thanks - I think I'll have to. I only got 5 days this last round, operating in "Night only mode" and using a new Duracell battery. The LED appeared nice & bright so I moved the access point right below the unit, but still nothing. A few days later the LED quit lighting as well. Still no low battery warning from any of them.
-
Two of my Insteon motion sensors run the batteries dead every 2-4 weeks, and I've never had a low battery indicator from either of them. I only have 1 other, and in (significant) contrast, the battery has never gone bad in that one.
-
Does the low battery status work on 2420M's? Is anyone else having problems with (some) 2420M's eating batteries every couple of weeks? I have two 2420M motions sensors that I got around Feb. #1 Eats Duracel batteries like M&Ms. It is set to only send commands at night, the status LED is on, and traffic is minimal. #2 Is still on it's original included battery. Status LED is off, but it is outdoors and sends commands CONSTANTLY all day long. I ordered a replacement for the "defective" one, and 9 days later the (included) battery was dead on that one too. Lastly - the low battery status has never been set on any of these units when the battery dies. Does it work? Not only has the ISY never emailed me as programmed, nor shown a low battery status in the command console, but HomeSeer also monitors the status of the battery and shows that it has never received a command from these units (they otherwise communicate fine).
-
I second that - it's great for turning on outdoor lights when motion is detected, then returning the lights to their previous value when motion stops.
