Garage Door Sensor questions
I mounted mine on the overhead board across the top of the garage door opening. Same header my garage door opener is attached to (Wayne Dalton opener). The magnetic switch is water proof but I prefer to keep the electrical equipment off the floor.

All my motion sensors stopped working simultaneously....
Unfortunately the PLM does not have any logic like that. It does not remove links for devices it cannot communicate with.

Issue with I/O Linc (with Somfy Dry Interface), new ISY994i
The filtered outlets do a good job of taking what looks to be noise/etc off the powerline. Unfortunately the Insteon signal looks like noise to these guys. I would try FilterLincs between the filtering equipment and the powerline. Or put a good surge suppressor at the power panel and eliminate all the individual filtering devices. I don't have one so cannot offer any suggestions. I do use FilterLincs where I have various UPS devices and they work well for that purpose.

Garage Door Sensor questions
Yes. The new switch is functionally what came with the garage kit. You want SM226L-3 which has a NO and NC contact.

Issue with I/O Linc (with Somfy Dry Interface), new ISY994i
The ISY is okay as it is sending and receiving commands from the PLM. The PLM is communicating with the ISY over the serial interface. I think it likely there is something on the powerline that is interfering with Insteon communication. The filtered outlets should not be used with the PLM and the I/O Lincs. Unplug everything except ISY, PLM and I/O Linc and do not use filtered outlets.

Just installed ISY 994i pro, multiple problems
Do the 4 tap Set button test between the two Access Points to verify they are on opposite 120v legs. Does the PLM LED indicate it can hear the test RF signal from the Access Point test?

Issue with I/O Linc (with Somfy Dry Interface), new ISY994i
The Insteon address of the I/O Linc is not responding. There are outbound messages (02 62) but no inbound messages (02 50) from the device. Leave the New INSTEON Device Device Type field set to the default Auto Discover. Is the LED on the side of the I/O Linc On? Are there other electronic devices powered from the same circuit? Try another Insteon device also plugged into the PLM plug point.

Fanlinc and keypadlinc
That is one of those cases where it has to work if wired correctly. Check that the FanLinc is powered from unswitched 120v power. See if the Fan light wire has 120v when the KPL ON button is pressed.

2441TH Thermostat Question - detecting when changed
There is no easy way to do that at present. We are hoping future changes to Variable support that may come in the next few months will allow the current temp to be stored in a variable and checked later but that does not exist currently.

Swap one switchlinc for another
Check the device type of both the old and new SwitchLinc. It sounds like they do not match. The old SwitchLinc will not have a Replace xxxx with option if there is not a valid replacement available.
-
Swap one switchlinc for another
Add the new SwitchLinc as a new device using a dummy name. This entry will be deleted. Right click the old SwitchLinc node, select Replace xxxx with ..... The old SwitchLinc Insteon address is not referenced so the new SwitchLinc can be installed at the old SwitchLinc location. The new SwitchLinc will receive the link database that was in the old SwitchLinc. Any devices that have links to the old SwitchLinc will be updated with the new SwitchLinc address. The new SwitchLinc node name will be deleted by the Replace xxxxx with ..... function. The Admin Console will close so there are not two devices (old and new SwitchLinc) with the same Insteon address. The new SwitchLinc must be the same type of device. A SwitchLinc Relay replaces a SwitchLinc Relay. A SwitchLinc Dimmer cannot be replaced with a SwitchLinc Relay for example.

All my motion sensors stopped working simultaneously....
It sounds like the PLM lost some link records. Since the motion sensors sleep it is impossible for the motion sensors to have lost anything. The Restore Device along with rebuilding the motion sensor also restored the PLM link records. You will not like this but if these are that important to security they should be part of the security system, not part of an Insteon system. Insteon is not rated for such activity.

Program condition needed or not
The "Status" of one of the devices has to change for either Program to be triggered. Checking for the KPL button being On is a logical check as the Program does not have to function if the button is already Off. Both Programs are going to be triggered when any of the devices change state regardless of the KPL button Status check. The KPL button check means the Then clause will not run when the button is already Off.

replacing switches in ISY994i
The old KPL with its node names should be there. All devices that the old KPL referenced had to have the link records replaced with the Insteon address of the new KPL which should have been deleted. What does Help | About display for the Firmware and UI lines? The old KPL is the device where the Replace with ..... was selected?

EZIO4 Device Settings and upload
The ISY does not support those Inputs in Analog mode. That would not only require setting the analog trip points, the Configuration Register would require management as well. The ISY does not know about the Analog aspects of the Configuration Register and would wipe out the settings.

Is it possible to do this with a scene?
A Secondary KeypadLinc button CANNOT be turned On/Off directly. The Insteon Direct commands have no means of identifying which KPL button to control. The following statement cannot turn a Secondary KPL button On or Off. Set 'Foyer 6-Button.Upstairs' On 15 / Off 3 (Backlight Level) Use something like Set Scene 'xxxx' On (or Off) where Scene 'xxxx' has the KPL buttons as Responders to turn On or Off

Good pickup. It can be hard in the beginning to know that something should work. Hope you have as much fun with the ISY as I have.

Count Off Clicks
Go back and check all the facts. When power is applied to a light and it does not light and power is good and the light is good, something has been missed. Does the Programs | Summary display show the Program is being triggered (Last Run Time and Status)?

Count Off Clicks
This is the Program that produced the trace If Control 'SwitchLinc Dimmer DB' is switched Off Then $Kitchen.Click.Count += 1 Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Count Off Clicks
The Program is not being triggered. See the trace below that shows a variable being updated. Make sure a Save is not pending, the Program is Enabled. EZIO4 Device Settings and upload
The output timers are the only thing yhat would be useful. The ISY does not support setting the output timers. The free Simplehomenet Utility Suite from Simplehomenet/Smartenit can be used on a windows system.
