  1. nevermind, I think I did not clear all of my java caches, working now!
  2. OK, I know this is kind of minor, but anoying to me. I upgraded my Poliy to 5.9.1 and had to get the new IoX launcher start.jnlp, but this one does NOT show a nice icon nor can I put it in my taskbar for easy launching. Am I doing soemthing wrong or is this just the way the new upgreded launcher is?
  3. yea, I read old posts and now it seems that is a common issue, and it seems it will self correct over night, but the programs will run correctly, at least that what those posts were saying.
  4. On my Polisy after DST initiated today, the sunrise/sunset times are off. I live in San Fransisco region and it has sunrise at 8:31am and sunset 8:10pm, those are an hour off, should be an hour earlier for both. And, there is no way to uncheck the dalight savings time box. Also wehn change to a diffent time zone it still is off
  5. Got it! Thanks, as I do not have the dongle.
  6. I don't have any Matter devices, so does that mean I do not need to do a Zwave backup prior to upgrading?
  7. Z-wave backup, sorry, don't see it!...to be clear I have a Polisy

since no one replied, perhpas I am mistaken?
  10. OK, I was sooo happy the Yolink NS was stable and such a good replacement for the Kasa NS which I had to reboot every couple of weeks...until last night where I had to reboot the Youlink NS as it stopped working. Interesting when I did reboot it took quite a while for the nodes to be recognized again despite the NS being connected Also, I could not upgrade the NS to latest as not on 5.9.1 yet as there seems to be a lot of people with problem upgrading
  11. I "heard" this is coming, any updates?
  12. OK, I visited this topic many years ago, but revisiting it to make sure I understand. I think this means that on power cycle the Polisy will check the enabled "run at startup" programs to evaluate the IF condition and run as appropriate the then command. Do I have it right? why not always enable programs at start up?
  13. Instructions say "It's imperative that you take a backup of your IoX, Z-Wave, and PG3 settings.", I know how to do the first and last one, but how do I backup Z-Wave?
  14. I tried updateing the NS three times and it seems to then reverts back to old revision
  15. @Panda88 First of all let me thank you for the Yolink NS. I have been using Yolink for a while with remote temp measuremnt, but only recently started to integrate them into the Polisy. The results are so much better than I am having with Kasa device as the NS continuously need to be rebooted, so thanks much! Regarding the dimming function, are you saing you can control the dim from an Insteon KPL in a scene, or by program? I turns out that controlling from the KPL is not as important for my application as I thought it would be, but still curious
  16. I have the Kasa prodcution and beta both running, and often (every week or so) I need to restart the NS for the AC to reocgnize the Kasa device
  17. An update on my flickering and Insteon communication issues: For the flicker I ordered the inovelli. I did not care about any smart features for this particular switch. Unfortunately the flicker was just as bad, probly worse actually. I then installed the Zooz 800 Series Z-Wave dimmer, and it seems to have solved the issue. Again, no smart features used, just only as a dimmer switch For the Insteon communication issue, I think I am still having very slow traffic, but the more remote KPL at my pool was very problematic, so I replace the switch with a Youlink dimmer. All is much better at least for the pool.
  18. @bigDvette do you think the inovelli will stop the flicker on some LED strip lights? I ask because sometimes with a transformer involved (to low voltage) and low current demand, it can be more difficult?
  19. Rather than put in the LED bypass, is there a dimmer (higher end one) that solves it just as well?
  20. agreed, just a regular breaker, strange, for sure. Old but nver had one fail like this, very coincidental
  21. I wanted to recap my situation as it may help others: · I had several dimmer switches controlling lights that we now flickering and Blinking after I installed solar. I distinguish “flicker” as the constant 60hz kind of strobe effect, and “blinking” as the random blinks every few second, but random in timing · I had three Dimmers that we having this problem. Two of them were Insteon, one was just a standard Lutron controlling some under cabinet LED strip lights · I could not seem to find an exact problem, but I think it was worse when the batteries were powering the house · I also had poor Insteon communication, slow downs and sometimes would not work. · I replaced one of the insteon switches with a non smart switch, problem solved on that one · I replace one of the other with a Youlink dimmer, better, but not perfect · I finally found out that all there light were on the same circuit, so I thought “bad breaker”, strange that would occur exactly after the installation. · I changed the circuit to another breaker, and the blinking got MUCH better…so a bad breaker, right? · Well I still have the dimmer for the under cabinet light flicker (not blinking), and I still have slow insteon communication, but mostly on the leg of the circuit that I moved So…what is the issue, I don’t really know, but Powerwalls seem to be introducing noise…Was one breaker more sensitive to this more than another? Still trying to debug
  22. Yes I was going to give an in depth description of my experience when all issues are determined, but can briefly say I found a faulty circuit breaker as a prime issue
  23. well I would agree except it always works first couple of times, just subseqeunt trys, and the led light startsblinking, then no longer works. I always assumed that the red blinking light meant traffic, but not sure
  24. I will start with the symptom, then comment on some recent issues below: Symptom. When I use my remote wireless switch to turn on a scene, it works, but if I turn it on and off several times, the switch will blink red like there is insteon (or maybe other ) traffic, and the switch will no longer control the scene. When is stops blinking, the last setting works and switch works as normal. Why is this important as not real use case, well I am debugging to see if I still have issues , after the following. · I recently had solar and powerwall 3s installed and had several lights on dimmers that were blinking · I determined that the lights that were blinking were all on the same circuit, so I replaced the circuit breaker and things got MUCH better · I had a lamplink go bad and it was sending out insteon traffic, that lamplink is now removed · I still have one dimmer that slightly flicker on low level setting (controls under cabinet LED strip). So, I am just seeing if I still have problems. Maybe having the switch blink red if there are a lot of subsequent presses is typical, but I don’t seem to remember that before all of this occurred, but I may be wrong and this may be typical
