Can you elaborate on exactly what happened. I'm not sure what you mean when you say "dropped the run at reboot". Instead of using the status of a light, you can do the following based on when you actually press the 'Away Button'. This will ensure that if you are away and the power goes out, the 'Away' program will continue to run when the ISY powers up again (without depending on the status of any lights or switches). If ( Control 'Away Button' is switched On Or Control 'Away Button' is switched Fast On ) And Control 'Away Button' is not switched Off And Control 'Away Button' is not switched Fast Off Then Set Program 'Away' to Run At Reboot Run Program 'Away' Else Set Program 'Away' to Not Run At Reboot Stop program 'Away'

This will do what you want: If From Sunset To 7:00:00PM (same day) Then Set 'BBQ Light' On Else Set 'BBQ Light' Off

You are correct, one needs to be careful when using Control to ensure a light remains off. There must be a condition for all possible controls and actions that could turn on the lights. In your example, if someone uses Fast On, uses dimming (Fade Up, Bright), or uses a program to turn on the light your program will not detect it.

When an event occurs, the If conditions for all folders, and all programs that are "allowed to run" within folders are evaluated exactly once, even if referenced multiple times. There is no short-circuiting of conditions within an If statement, therefore all conditions in the If are evaluated. Generally, you don't need to worry about optimizing your programs, but if you have a very large number of programs, the best way to optimize them is as follows: 1) If you have a large set of common conditions required by multiple programs, then put those conditions into a single program and have the other programs reference it. This will also save memory. 2) Use folder conditions where possible. If the Folder conditions fail then the programs within it will not be evaluated.

Technically speaking, you shouldn't need this query at all because the status of each device is continously maintained. The 3am query exists just in case some Insteon traffic during the day was lost and thus didn't reach the ISY.

I would have to see the exact details to determine why they were not deleted originally, but it looks as though ISY did not recognize the link between the ControlLinc and your LampLinc. This is the correct way to solve this type of problem.

Using the third option was fine, restore device will still do all of the following with your devices: - 'Restore Device' removes links to unknown devices - 'Restore Device' removes duplicate links - 'Restore Device' moves keypad led links to front of link database - 'Restore Device' ensures link to PLM for responder only devices Restore Device also 'defragments' the link database, removing links that are marked deleted.

This displays the current usage of some of the memory used by ISY. Its primarily intended as a development tool for us to help in debugging problems.

The number of events is unlimited, but there is a bug that prevents ISY from saving more that 23 IR events. This bug has been fixed and will be in the next Release.

In the next release you can use 'Fade Up'/'Fade Down'/'Fade Stop' instead of bumping it using repeated Dim/Bright actions. Not sure what you are getting at here; the program is created through a simple GUI ... what other GUI were you thinking of? You could enhance this program as well, for example, make a 'snooze' button using using a button on a remoteLinc or controlLinc.

In the next release, you will be able to use a program to set another program to 'Run/Not Run At Reboot'. This way, you no longer have to depend on the settings of your insteon devices to "remember" if you are away.
