Yes, if they get the .otz that will work. A .gbl would be fine as well, we are likely supporting that format in the next build.
-
Thanks, I'm aware of them but unfortunately we can't use them. The RAR format is not firmware, it is equivalent to a zip file that contains a program that you run on windows that installs the firmware (i.e. has the actual firmware embedded within the program). The HEC format is a proprietary format only usable by homeseer.
-
FYI The RAR format is actually like a zip file containing a windows app that you use to upgrade an older Aeotec device like the Multisensor 6. As far as we can tell, Aeotec does not provide an actual firmware file that we can upload into the device. They do supply firmware files for newer Aeotec devices like the illumino dimmer switch (ZWA037)

Hopefully in the next build or two. Yes, this is just for ADR. Most of the dashboard functionality was brought into the Admin Console in this build.

This is the support thread for IoX 5.6.4: >>Could you expand on the OTA support in 5.6.4. i.e., what works and what doesn't. How does one use OTA, I couldn't find the option in any of the tabs. The process begins with making sure you have the correct firmware file, starting OTA firmware upgrade in the Admin Console, uploading the firmware file to IoX which then uploads it to the device itself. Once complete, the device applies the firmware file, or returns an error if it detected something went wrong. The process of uploading the firmware to the Z-Wave device takes roughly 20 minutes and depends entirely on communications and the size of the firmware file. The file is broken down into small fragments and each fragment is sent individually in a Z-Wave message. For example, the ZW4009 Enbrighten Smart Switch takes about 20 minutes and requires sending about 4500 fragments to the device The first thing to do is get the firmware file from the manufacturer and make sure you are getting it for the correct device/model and version. This will be a .otz, .gbl, .bin, or other type of file. For now we are not allowing binary files like .gbl because we have bricked at least one device (a Zooz 5 button keypad) when using it. To start OTA Firmware upgrade, right+click on the primary node of the device and select Z-Wave. You will see "OTA Firmware Upgrade" in the menu if the device supports it.

If you get an "Entry Control" node when adding a lock using ZMatter Z-Wave then try increasing the interview timeout to 40 seconds or more by using: Z-Wave | Network | Interview Timeout This may also be useful when adding some older or complex devices

Make sure you are using the Zen34 "Basic Control" node as the scene controller, address ends in _251 (e.g. ZY010_251)
-
Yes, you can use the Zen 34 in scenes and in programs. You should see DON / DOF in the event viewer when you press the buttons. If you do not, make sure to write the changes, which I can see doesn't happen automatically on wake up right now. If it doesn't send DON / DOF and there are no pending writes, then select Z-Wave | Rewrite All Device Links 1) In Wake Up node, turn "Keep Awake" On 2) Wake up Zen 34 (press upper paddle 7 times) 3) right+click node, Write changes 4) In Wake Up node, turn "Keep Awake" off Keep in mind, the devices Zen 34 can control in scenes must have been included with the same security level you included Zen 34

Hello everyone, Please upgrade packages again, PG3X & PG3 should be working again.
-
Hi Brian, For the parameter values to take effect you have to either power cycle the ZEN17 and the do "Update with Interview", or, remove the ZEN17 and then add it back again. I also noticed a bug introduced into our code that may affect interviewing a device for a second time if it was included using S2 security (i.e. it may be best to just remove / add it again). After setting both parameter 2 and 3 to value 11 you should be seeing the additional nodes
-
Hello Everyone, We had a glitch in the build process for the is build and based on your reports it seems to have affected PG3x. We're looking at it and will hopefully have a fix very soon.

* IoX = ISY on Anything. Welcome to ZMatter Z-Wave+ Beta ! In this build we focused on fixing issues with device interviews and device support along with a few other bugs. Getting Started Make a backup of Polisy (Admin Console | File | Backup IoX ) Launch the Admin Console, go to the Configuration tab, click on Update Packages. Warning, this might take a while depending on how current your OS is Once completed (4 beeps + 1), unplug Polisy If you are using INSTEON, make sure the PLM is connected Power up your Polisy note that initial boot might take a much longer time than normal because udx might want to install missing packages to assist with migration (in the future) Once boot up is complete, Launch Admin Console Migrating to ZMatter Z-Wave+ Go to the configuration tab and press the Migrate to ZMatter Z-Wave button to start migration Please pay close attention to the instructions Do not unplug or install any Z-Wave boards / dongles until instructed to do so during migration When IoX restarts for the first time during migration, you will see that your old Z-Wave nodes are not enabled. As the device interviews proceed, they will become enabled as they are updated with data from the new Z-Wave implementation. The best way to monitor the progress is to open the Admin Console Event Viewer to level 3 For those who want lots of low-level details, you can also use this from the command line: tail -f /var/isy/FILES/LOG/ZWAY.LOG Note: The only way to go back to the original Z-Wave implementation is to restore a backup that was made prior to moving to ZMatter Z-Wave+ Here are the installation instructions for those of you with a ZMatter Z-Wave board (not USB dongle): ZMatter-Assembly- Instructions.pdf (universal-devices.com). Ensure that the antennas are connected in the proper location (Z-Wave = yellow band, on the left. Zigbee = red band, on the right) Features Support non-secure inclusion Bug Fixes Some interviews fail or only partially complete due to communication problems ZMatter Z-Wave port detection (no more need for manual override) ZEN16 support (due to ZEN16 device limitations, it must be included non-secure) Cannot add some Schlage locks Motion sensor does goes on but not off Remove 2nd option for ZMatter Z-Wave migration Long "system busy" at startup after migration Show ZMatter Z-Wave Connected/Not Connected in Admin Console Show ZMatter Z-Wave Detect button press active or not @WEBPAGE in Notifications

Hello Everyone, ZEN16 / 17 We have done a little testing with this device it appears that the issue many of you are having is the interview mostly completes for the main device, but does not complete for the other channels (eg. if its device 14, you would see channel nodes ZY014.1, ZY014.2, ZY014.3) Therefore, if your device isn't working as expected, please right+click on one of its nodes, select Z-Wave | Synchronize | Update with Interview It would be best if you move the device closer to the ISY and possibly temporarily turn off "chatty" Z-Wave devices for the interview. The simplest way to figure out if it didn't complete is to right+click on a channel node (e.g. "ZY014.1" address ZY014_001_1), do Z-Wave | Z-Wave X-Ray, choose "Device/Channel Database Object" GO If you don't see these 8 command classes then the interview did not complete for that channel. You should see: --- 8 Command Classes --- 32 x20 V2 I S BASIC 37 x25 V1 I S SWITCH_BINARY 89 x59 V1 I S ASSOCIATION_GROUP_INFO 94 x5e V2 I S ZWAVEPLUS_INFO 108 x6c V1 I S SUPERVISION 133 x85 V2 I S ASSOCIATION 142 x8e V3 I S MULTI_CHANNEL_ASSOCIATION 159 x9f V1 I S SECURITY_2

How to migrate to ZMatter Z-Wave using an ISY-994 Backup
Chris Jahn replied to Chris Jahn's topic in IoX Support
If a battery device is not awake, the initial interview will fail, and you will see the device nodes as 'placeholders'. When the device wakes up it should start an interview and thus migrate the device.
