  1. There would be no migration here because you are already using the ZMatter Z-Wave implementation. You would first use "Z-Wave | Backup" to make a backup of your Z-Wave network (creates a file in Polisy / eisy), then make a backup of your Polisy / Eisy. You would then restore that backup on another Polisy / eisy (File | Restore ISY), and then restore your Z-Wave network (Z-Wave | Restore).
  2. You would do this if you are using a ZMatter Z-Wave board with our original Z-Wave implementation.
  3. The complete instructions for ZMatter Z-Wave migration are now in the Wiki https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Migration

  6. * IoX = ISY on Anything. Welcome to ZMatter Z-Wave+ Beta ! In this build we focused on fixing issues with migration along with a few other bugs. Additionally, you can now use the "Migrate to ZMatter Z-Wave" button on the configuration tab to take a "migration" backup of Polisy or eisy. This "migration" backup (different than a regular backup) migrates your Z-Wave network when restored on any Polisy or Eisy. You only need the Z-Wave dongle containing your Z-Wave network (e.g. Zooz) plugged in when making the backup. Getting Started Make a backup of Polisy (Admin Console | File | Backup IoX ) Launch the Admin Console, go to the Configuration tab, click on Update Packages. Warning, this might take a while depending on how current your OS is Once completed (4 beeps + 1), unplug Polisy If you are using INSTEON, make sure the PLM is connected Power up your Polisy note that initial boot might take a much longer time than normal because udx might want to install missing packages to assist with migration (in the future) Once boot up is complete, Launch Admin Console Migrating to ZMatter Z-Wave+ Go to the configuration tab and press the Migrate to ZMatter Z-Wave button to start migration Please pay close attention to the instructions Do not unplug or install any Z-Wave boards / dongles until instructed to do so during migration When IoX restarts for the first time during migration, you will see that your old Z-Wave nodes are not enabled. As the device interviews proceed, they will become enabled as they are updated with data from the new Z-Wave implementation. The best way to monitor the progress is to open the Admin Console Event Viewer to level 3 For those who want lots of low-level details, you can also use this from the command line: tail -f /var/isy/FILES/LOG/ZWAY.LOG Note: The only way to go back to the original Z-Wave implementation is to restore a backup that was made prior to moving to ZMatter Z-Wave+ Here are the installation instructions for those of you with a ZMatter Z-Wave board (not USB dongle): ZMatter-Assembly- Instructions.pdf (universal-devices.com). Ensure that the antennas are connected in the proper location (Z-Wave = yellow band, on the left. Zigbee = red band, on the right) Features Support migration using a "migration" backup of Polisy Bug Fixes Fixed issues with synchronize | New & Deleted with interview Some binary sensor values were not available Better detection of the Z-Wave dongle / board (i.e. the "Initializing System" bug) ISY Nodes not being created for some devices System configuration being reset when migrating to ZMatter Z-Wave+ ZWAY.LOG was not properly archived Fixed the "Write Changes" button Next More bug fixes, and unless higher priority issues crop up, better support for detecting events from button presses, motion sensors etc.

  7. Fixing this is the focus of our next build
  8. We identified the bug some users were having where the Admin Console would just wait on "Initializing System". If one or more of your Z-Wave devices send very frequent reports (one a second or so) then it is likely you will run into this problem. We hope to have a fix for it early next week. Have a great weekend, Happy New Year!
  9. Can you please right+click on it and select Z-Wave | Z-Wave X-Ray then select Device/Channel Database Object and DM me the results
  10. I assume you upgraded to 5.5.2, and then what exactly did you do after that?
  11. Do you see any errors in the Java console?
  12. Hi Brian, For the ISY node supporting Hail, can you please right+click on it and select Z-Wave | Synchronize | Update Hail should work after that.
  13. Yes, a bit of a glitch in the Matrix! ... or fumble fingers, take your pick We just posted build 5.5.2 which has Z-Wave network migration support and a few other fixes. For migration, don't install or remove any of your Z-Wave boards / dongles until instructed to during migration. For example, if you are currently using Zooz, one of the migration steps is to read some info from it so the Z-Wave network can be restored onto the Z-Wave Matter board (in a later step).
  14. * IoX = ISY on Anything. Welcome to ZMatter Z-Wave+ Beta ! In this build we focused primarily on migration either from a Z-Wave network using our original implementation on Polisy/Eisy, or from an ISY-994 backup (containing a 500 Series Z-Wave backup). Ensure that the antennas are connected in the proper location (Z-Wave = yellow band, on the left. Zigbee = red band, on the right) Features Migration from existing network (e.g. Zooz) Migration from ISY-994 500 Series Backup Bug Fixes Set/Query Configuration parameters Some sensor values not available (e.g. humidity for multisensor 6) Change default of "Detect Button Press" to OFF Hail not working for some devices (not able to fully test this because we do not have a device with this problem) Next Bug fixes, including better support for detecting events from button presses, motion sensors etc.

  15. We are currently working on detecting all on/off type sensors, not just the ones defined by the device. We are also looking at the issue with setting parameters. S0/S2 should cause no loss of functionality for the device (in fact it often increases it for things such as door locks). You shouldn't have to replace your old devices, and hopefully even with or without some level of customization (detect button press, etc.) they will remain useful for you. We'll try to recreate the issue you are having with the V2 Energy Meter
  16. I'd have to take a closer look at this, but we have noticed here that AeoTec sensors often do not advertise the full set of sensors it actually seems to support. I'm not sure yet, but we may be able to add support for some custom device settings to get around this.
  17. We are now looking at issues with setting parameters and button / sensor detection. Generally speaking, a persistent "Interview Not Done" is likely an issue with the device itself not conforming to the Z-Wave specifications. If it happens, there may be some (non-conforming) functionality in the device that cannot be used. One thing to keep in mind is the library we are using is very strict because of the need to be Z-Wave Plus V2 certified which adds a lot of rules that must be followed. This is one of the reasons you may be seeing "Interview Not Done" for some of your devices.
  18. We've been working on migration (from Zooz or ISY-994 500 series backup), making sure all sensor values are reported, and a few smaller bugs. These fixes will be available in build next week. We're still working on problems with setting parameters, and some button / sensor detection issues.
  19. Hi Brian, Actual Hail is supported, you should see it in the "control" conditions for the switch node. It doesn't have a status value.
  20. This is the "Detect Button Press" mode that by default is supposed to be Off, but for some people it is On. You can turn it on/off Using Z-Wave | Detect Button Press | [On|Off] Some devices send BASIC SET when a button on the device is pressed or a sensor triggered. For older devices the ISY cannot map them to a node because it is doesn't have enough information. You likely have at least one 'Assoc Only' node for Device 2 that you turn into an On / Off switch based on that event (use the right+click menu on the Assoc Only node)
  21. Thanks, we will try to recreate that here.
  22. For ZMatter there is the ZMatter Board and the new ISY ZMatter implementation of Z-Wave. If you use the "Move to ZMatter Z-Wave" button, the ISY will reboot and you will start using the new implementation. Nodes in the new implementation begin with "ZY", nodes in the original implementation begin with "ZW" The ZMatter Board, Zooz, etc. works with the original implementation Only the ZMatter Board works with the new implementation. Thanks for reporting the motion sensor off issue, we will try to recreate it here
  23. When you add an S2 device a popup will appear in the Admin Console asking you what levels of security to grant (for higher levels you also have to supply the pin for the device). After that, another popup will appear asking you to verify the DSK matches your device. Did you get both of these popups?
  24. Hi Steve, Couple of questions ... are you saying there are no ISY nodes at all for your door lock? Did you add the door lock after moving to ZMatter Z-Wave?
  25. We should create an ISY node for it just so you know its there and can view some of its properties. The reason its not there currently is it has no status values or commands.
