Per my support ticket, I used the Upgrade packages button in the config tab and all is now working fine.

I tried your suggestion and it didn't work. I will open a support ticket. The backup process gets to the point where a zip folder is created. The folder is empty.

When I try to back up I get this message: Could not parse the configuration file

I get unknown error when trying to link. I know this is a new insteon device. Is there a special way to link it?

Is there any way to determine the address of a MS (version I) with the label worn off?

So, I still had two more MSII still in boxes. I tried each of them using the method @techman describes. I even took a picture of each address and blew it up to be sure I got it right. I tested the battery I am using and it has a full charge. I am 6' from my PLM. Each time I got the same error message that I was getting before. I wonder if R 1.0 is the problem. How can I find out? Or should I just toss these MSII in "the box" and forget about it?

Any other ideas on how to link a MSII? Somebody must have figured this out??

I found the section of the cookbook and followed the directions to set up SMTP for Google. When I hit test I get this error message which is not listed in the cookbook section about gmail errors: Mail Server Error [[SMTP_ERRORS--1]]

You guys are very helpful. I want to set up notifications. Can you direct me to documentation to help with this?

I'm really not that bored. Trying to figure out why an insteon switch makes incandescent light flicker randomly. Figured it might be from comm traffic so I have put the PLM on my desk where I can see it. No activity on the Event Viewer at level 3.

I didn't realize there were problems with the MSII product. I have some of the older MSs around. I will try to reuse them.

Updating complete. Still can't link the MSII. I have several new from the box and I tried a few and none will link.

Yes. After doing a reset on the MS.

Still can't get it to install

Back to my issue adding a motion sensor ii. I did a factory reset and put the MS next to my PLM before putting it into linking mode. Still get the same error message about insteon engine and can't add the MS.
