  1. I found a guy on Etsy that makes custom plates. They are a high-quality metal and the cost ends up about the same as what the Insteon custom keys used to cost. They were great working with me. I tried zazzle.com but was not pleased with the quality or the look. Tedstuff | Modern, Elegant, and Fun Mailboxes and Light fixtures
  2. Ended up that I did not like the look and feel of the zazzle wall plates. So, I found a guy on Etsy that makes custom plates. 3. The Zooz Zen32 (available on Amazon and elsewhere) is a 5 button z-wave switch. It is a little different to program, but I have been able to configure them as fan controllers. Right now I plan to use them in bedrooms with ceiling fans - freeing up my precious keypadlinks for other locations - but I plan to investigate other uses. There are several other posts as well that discuss using these switches. Just search on "zen32".
  4. I understand wanting to stay with keypads. They are a wonderful way to gain lots of functionality in a small footprint. I purchased a dozen (at $115 apiece - yikes!) a few months ago for a remodel we are in the middle of. Sorry - not willing to part with them. But you might take a look at the Zooz Zen32 (available on Amazon). It's a 5 button z-wave switch. I also started using z-wave relay modules when the Insteon inlinelincs became unavailable. I have had great results with those. And the smaller footprint is a plus. I have used both single and dual relays. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KQMGH7X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They work well in scenes. I don't connect them directly to dumb-switches (as they can) - I just use them for hidden control and connectivity. If your ISY does not already support z-wave, you can purchase the card from UD - that is what I did and it was an easy install. If you have the Polisy, you just need a z-wave dongle. Zooz makes one as well. You might need to initially invest in some z-wave repeaters depending on how far your z-wave devices are from your ISY. They are reasonably inexpensive. 5. I didn't like the label maker option, so I used zazzle.com to custom design a wall plate. I ordered 3 and they came to about $14 per plate.
  6. I have a Zen32 configured as a fan controller. Zooz Zen32 as a fan controller - Z-Wave - Series 300/500 - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com)
  7. I initially purchased the Zooz Zen32 to use as a fan/light controller. I wanted something to turn a light on and off as well as control the fan speed. I couple this with the Insteon Fanlinc and this procedure focuses on that goal. I got the parameter settings that I use from the Zooz website. https://www.support.getzooz.com/kb/article/608-zen32-scene-controller-advanced-settings/ Things that I have noticed about the Zen32 The large primary button behaves just like any other Insteon button. Both scenes and programs recognize a status of ON or OFF. I plan to use this button for either the fan light, or any other light in the room. The smaller four button set does not behave like other Insteon buttons. Near as I can tell, the only place that recognizes it is in a program. And a program can only trigger based on a status of ON. I can't find anyway to trigger based on a status of OFF. So all you can really tell is that the button has been pressed. But that is useful. I am going to play around with using a program variable to track an ON/OFF status so that I can recognize ON and OFF - but not today. Today's goal was to control a fan. And I got that working. First things first Change the behavior of the LED on the primary button to be lit when on, and to not be lit when off. This more closely mimics the keypadlinc behavor as well as the behavior of the smaller buttons that I am implementing. Make sure to click "Set Configuration" to enact. This is optional depending on how you like your LED's to behave. Fan Control Similar to how a keypadlinc uses separate scenes for each fan speed, I created a program for each fan speed. As a button is pressed, the program will: 1) Set the appropriate fan speed 2) Turn on the LED for that button 3) Turn off the LED's for the other 3 buttons This will behave as "Radio" buttons - meaning the only button that is lit is the last one pressed. Fan Low Fan Med Fan High Fan Off Now, if they just offered custom etched keys. But I am going to try using my Dymo label maker using a clear tape. Hope this helps!
  8. Ok. Is reporting to Amazon something you do? Not a huge issue for me right now since it is working but I appreciate the confirmation that there is nothing more I can do right now. Thanks for your help!
  9. Still having the issue. Here is what I have done since my last post. 1) Executed the 'Forget All" - all devices were deleted in the Alexa page 2) Removed the V2 skill (the only ISY skill showing in my list) 3) Logged out of the Alexa/Amazon page 4) Went to ISY Portal page and unlinked my Amazon account 5) Deleted all echo devices/scenes/programs in the portal 6) Logged out of portal 7) Logged back into portal Relinked Amazon account in portal 9) Added an echo scene in portal (just one) 10) Logged into the Alexa page 11) Added the V2 skill 12) Executed a discover 13) Two devices showing in Alexa device page (which works fine) Screen shots attached. echo2.pdf Not sure what else I can do other than maybe delete and re-add my isy994i device on the portal. But I was not sure if you can easily delete and re-add the isy994i device.
  10. Thanks, will give that a try and report back in the morning. It is frustrating....
  11. I have executed the "Forget All" multiple times. And it shows no devices after that Then I execute the "Discover" and it always comes back with 12 devices, double the 6 I have configured.
  12. I just upgraded from isy994i to isy994iPro. I had my older isy994i working fine with alexa using the older V1 skill. I have deleted my old isy and added my new one in the isy portal. Unlinked the isy skill and relinked the newer V2. Got everything linked, re-added my entries in the isy portal and then executed the discovery in the amazon alexa app. Now the problem. For every entry in the isy portal, there are two devices entries in the alexa device page. My echo works fine, it is just annoying that for 6 isy entries I have 12 devices. I do not have multiple spoken word entries. I have executed the forget all and then rediscover. Whether it is a device, a scene or a program, two devices appear. I am attaching a document with screen shots of my portal entries and my alexa device listing. Any thoughts here? What am I missing? echo.pdf
