Does anyone have their DSC alarm system setup and being monitored by Envisalarm? What are your experiences. Also does anyone have the added Sidekick for cellular backup for their Envisalink/Envisalarm setup?

@lilyoyo1 @oberkc Thank you for the help. I thought I figured out it was because the locks were part of my Digital Life system from AT&T but after I took the lock apart and moved to where my ISY was it removed and enrolled fine. I have the ISY in my basement, right about it on the 1st floor I have an AC plugged device that has a button for one outlet and always on for the other outlet, then I have another 1 of those on the other side of that room, and then a repeater 1 room over that can't get a signal. Even the 2 in the same room about 20 feet apart are not always working correctly.

I get a ZWave signal 2 rooms from the lock which is a plugable outlet, however again can't get the signal to go even 30 feet. I have removed, re insterted and factory reset many times and same issue occurs.

I am moving away from AT&T Digital Life which has 2 Yale ZWave locks integrated into the system. I have set back to defaults but cannot enroll with my ISY Zwave network. I have the 500 series chip and I have a difficult time getting my devices to pick it up 30 feet away in an open room. Any ideas on what can be causing this or what I can do to resolve it? Or are there other options for door locks to integrate with ISY?

@Goose66 I have my DSC alarm coming along nicely, of course with some learning curves. Not sure if you can help or not, however I have 2 doors and 1 window currently setup. When I put in the door sensors they came right up in the Eyezon App on my phone, but my 2 windows have not shown up in the App. Any thoughts on why that would be?

@Goose66 Do you have a central monitoring service with your DSC alarm system? I have the Envisalink module installed but not sure if/who can monitor using that. I don't want to do land line as I do not have one. If you have central monitoring, does it work through the Envisalink or a separate communicator? Thoughts on a cellular backup as well?

@MrBill From what I understand, my sensors are DSC compatible and they are 433.92.
-
@Goose66 Can I assume that if I have Yale ZWave locks that I can put that through ISY and then setup a program that if the door is unlocked the alarm disarms?
-
@Goose66 I have ISY controlling my home automation so that part of Elk I don’t think would help. My system is being shut down by AT&T but the sensors are all 433 mhz so from what I can see I can use those with DSC but not Elk so definitely a cost benifits. any idea how I would pair the existing sensors with a new DSC if that is what I get?
-
@Goose66 Is there any significant benefit that you know of to get Elk over DSC or vice versa? What parts of the DSC system be controlled or seen by ISY with the nodeserver?

I currently have AT&T Digital Life as my alarm system. That is being sunset in a few months and I have the opportunity to move over to Brinks Home Security which uses the QOLSYS IQ2 alarm system. They tell me it is not proprietary and runs off of the DSC system type. Does anyone have this system, is it compatible with ISY and the node server for DSC, can it be integrated before my contract time with Brinks is up?

I am looking at what I will need to get an elk system up and running. Other than the main board (kit), and the sensors, what side items are needed? For example will the c1m1 surface or do I also need the m1xep to be able to have cellular backup and connect to ISY? Any other suggested items to get it started with ISY?
-
What are the differences in the system other than price? What would be the reasons to go with one or the other. As for ISY programs is there any advantage of one over the other?
-
My current alarm system is going out of business. Is Elk my only option for a system to integrate with ISY? I do want to be able to have a 3rd party monitoring company to receive the alarms. I also want it to be able to integrate door locks, smoke, and CO detectors.

Is anyone else having issues with getting the ISY to send you email notifications? A year or so ago when there was an issue I setup a gmail accound and got everything working. Now it does not work again and either says Mail Server Failure (when using the 465 port with TLS turned off), or Mail Server Failure password not accepted (when using 587 port) Password is correct as I can log into gmail with it. I have tried changing the password as well.

I unplugged and plugged back in the device after all other items you suggested was not successful. The settings page is now up.

@Michel Kohanim I have Bond, Ecobee, Flair, and ST-NuHeat

Just got my new Polisy hooked up and working. Have 4 nodeservers up and running with no issue. My issue is when I try to go into Settings and Polisy configuration I get a screen that says "please wait, getting configuration" then sits there forever. How do I resolve this?
-
@MrBill Thank you for your responses. Are you running ISY on your Polisy? If so, does it support ZWave devices?
-
If I do not have the cable to probably came with my initial setup years ago, is there a way to go about making one? Or is it just easier to buy the USB version?
-
@MrBill Do you know if trying to move ISY over to the Polisy if the PLM from Insteon with the cat 5 between the PLM and the old ISY will work with the Polisy?
-
Is there any big benefit of the Polisy Pro over the standard version? What is the benefit for the Bluetooth and WiFi?
