Whoo Hoo... just ordered the 994i for $99 using the upgrade deal. I was thinking about the "994i PRO" but looks like I'll have to use the $30 upgrade path to it. Sounds though like it's easy enough to get going... just use the 99i backup and should start right up.. right? :roll: Anyone have the experience yet or run into any issues?

I upgraded (99i pro to a 994i pro) without any difficulties yesterday. What I did was:

 

1) Update the firmware in the 99i to 3.3.10

2) Backup the 99i

3) Replace the 99i with the 994i

4) Log into the 994i and verify that its firmware was 3.3.10 and then restore the backup that I just made from the 99i

5) Log back into the 994i to verify that all switches, programs, and configuration settings were now present in the 994i

If you have a ISY99i Pro.

You can contact UDI with the old ISY99i's uuid and the new ISY994i's uuid and they can transfer the Pro Module from the old unit to your new unit.
