tome Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 On my new ISY994i I see a scene called "Auto DR" (says ADR0001 - Managed Scene). What is this and why is it there? Can I remove it? I know I didn't add it and I never noticed this on my ISY99i... -Tom
LeeG Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Do not remove it. Don't think it can be Deleted. Has something to do with power management.

Xathros Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 AutoDR is Automatic Demand Response. Where supported, it allows the utility (power company) to send a message that the ISY would react to by turning off heavy loads during peak times. There is likely more to it but that is my understanding. The AutoDR scene I believe is where you would place the "Heavy Loads" that should be turned off on request. -Xathros
icerabbit Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Could we get an option to not have that (and maybe some other things like ISY ON/OFF) listed in the HTML UD interface? As to not crowd the scene view with stuff I don't want family members to accidentally toggle on/off that they can't or shouldn't use.
Michel Kohanim Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Hello icerabbit, You can hide any of the nodes in the default interface: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... ser_Screen With kind regards, Michel
icerabbit Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 Can I hide a device or scene? Yes by adding a ~ in front of the name of the device or scene in the admin console. Thank you, that works
backinthelab Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I had wondered what the AutoDR scene was for, now that I know, I would kindly ask to give us the option to remove it. There is a HUGE battle here in Michigan over government-mandated SMARTmeters and I do not wish to have any technology in my home that would appear as if I support these measures, especially given the latest revelations of privacy violations by the US government.
Michel Kohanim Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Hello backinthelab, Not only I very much understand your sentiments but also I do agree. You can remove the scene. Please note that ISY does NOT in any shape or form communicate with any other entity outside of your home WITHOUT your explicit permission/intervention. Actually, this is the one feature that we are promoting all over the place: Autonomous --> no data going out and no commands coming in. You ARE in control. With kind regards, Michel
backinthelab Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Thank you for clarifying and for keeping our privacy concerns as a priority. I had figured that the ISY wouldn't be accessible to outside sources without our consent, but the name "AutoDR" made it sound like it was defaulted into doing so. Thanks again!
Michel Kohanim Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Hello backinthelab, My pleasure ... we do not at all subscribe to "big data" and analytics. With kind regards, Michel
BitSmith Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 If * We do not subscribe to "big data" * It's only useable when explicitly allowed * It would only do something if devices are put in the scene * NOBODY wants it Why not just get rid of it??! Workaround: I have renamed mine "~z UNUSED Auto DR". At least that way I remember to ignore it. If anyone thinks it should be there, please make a checkbox somewhere in Configuration, System. Or better yet, Configuration, OpenADR.
Michel Kohanim Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 BitSmith, We have 100s of customers who use it. And, especially in California and Title 24, helps customers save money with rebates and incentives. With kind regards, Michel
