Hello,

Aside from firmware updates, is there any reason to upgrade to 994?

Is there a page that allows me to compare features/capabilities?

thanks!

Hi Ron,

1. More code memory

2. Expansion slot to install either Zigbee or Z-Wave

With kind regards,

Michel

Thanks.

I have a few more Qs:

I notice that the pro version supports strong encryption. Is this via hw or sw?

My 99i couldn't handle strong at all!

How far along is the zigbee/zwave support, i.e. is it complete for both hw&sw

In other words does it work the same as the insteon devices and show up in the html and java apps?

Can I upgrade from 99ir to 994 Pro?

thanks!

Yes (HW/SW), to both.

My perception is that zigbee support is, and will be, limited to a few items, mostly energy monitors. I believe the zigbee module is available for purchase now.

Z-wave is not yet available for purchase, but is under initial user testing. It is addressed by a whole forum:
