Text messages not working (was working previously)

I have a simple program that sends a text to my phone after the garage door has been open over 30 minutes. It's been working fine until the last couple weeks and now I no longer receive texts. The garage sensor displays correctly in ISY and the program indicates it is running when the door is open. I tried to test the text function in the emails/notifications window and I get an error: "Mail server error, [To timed out] | Subscriber didn't reply to event:1 [27]".

Any help is appreciated.

If an error log or screenshot would be helpful, please let me know. I could not find any threads that address a problem with texts nor anything in the wiki.

Thanks - John

Hello austin_john,

If you are using our default settings, it could be very well possible that:

1. Our server is overloaded

2. Your ISP does not like universal-devices.com domain

I strongly recommend using your own SMTP settings. If you already are, then please send us the error log to support@universal-devices.com.

With kind regards,

Michel

Michel,

Thanks for the reply. I do have it set to default server. I see the wiki has instructions for setting up via gmail, which is what I use, so I will give it a try!

Thanks again! John

Michel,

Thanks, the wiki instructions worked, although one note is that I had to use a secondary gmail account. My primary gmail account is set up for two-step verification and so I was receiving an incorrect password error.

Best - John
