frank Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Am using a few 2842-222 motion sensors around the perimeter of my house and finding just about "anything" activates an on signal. I've tried jumper 1 to reduce sensitivity with zero results. Sensor faces directly south and is especially sensitive around 12:00 noon. Seems wind, palm tree movement, shrub movement, almost anything, activitates the sensor. Question is: Is there any way to reduce the sensitivity with out compromising it's ability to detect a person or large animal from being detected? IF not, does anyone know of a different motion sensor to use that could solve this problem? I have also tried the X10 Eagle Eye, but it was to the opposite extreme; reduced detection. Would placing wax paper around the lens be a solution? Frank
LeeG Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 The only question I have about using jumper 1, was the guide followed regarding using the Set button, 10 second wait before triggering motion to activate the reduced sensitivity. Simply adding jumper 1 does not reduce sensitivity.
