Purchased Networking module - unable to use it

Featured Replies

I purchased the networking module about 2 weeks ago and I am still not seeing it in my ISY admin page.

I closed and re-opened the browser window, and then went to help->Manage modules. Here it says "Your modules are uptodate". I also see "AutoUpdate - Authorization failure". I am guessing that is the reason I havent still gotten the new module.

I looked up online, and I found some people saying that the server could be down. So I have tried every alternate day for last 8 days, and still get the same "authorization failure".

I have tried the following, with no luck. Still get authorization failure and I do not see the networking module available.

1. I upgraded my java version to "1.7.0_25".

2. Made sure I erased my java cache.

3. Upgraded ISY to 4.0.5 Manually.

And tried again. Still get authorization failure. How do I proceed? I Contacted the UDI store via email and haven't received any response there either.

Thanks.

Hello rohan208, what is the gui version reported as? Help>About: UI should report as "Insteon_UD994 v.4.0.5"

Also, just to be clear, you were able to manually upgrade to 4.0.5 right?

Correct. The UI Version shows v4.0.5.

I manually upgraded this from 3.x.x

Sorry, I also meant to ask if the network module is listed under "Product" in the same "About" window.

It sounds like you will need to contact UDI though, it should not have taken this long for it to appear. Look for any of Michel's posts and click on "open a ticket" in his signature line.

Nope. It does not show up.

Do you think it has anything to do with the "AutoUpdate - Authorization failure" message I see?

I can't say that I have ever seen that message. Where do you see it?

  • Author

Everytime I launch the admin console, it shows up after about 30 seconds.

Hi rohan208,

This basically means that your computer cannot access http://www.universal-devices.com ... this is where the Admin Console checks to see whether or not there are any firmware updates available for your ISY.

What's your UI version (Help | About)?

With kind regards,

Michel

UI version shows v4.0.5.

Why do you think my ISY is unable to access the URL while my desktop, connected to the same LAN can?

What can I try to diagnose that? I will try capturing with wires hark tomorrow and see if that helps.

I will try in the next 30 minutes and update

Thanks.

Hi rohan208,

Did you try again and did it work?

With kind regards,

Michel

Still doesn't work. I get "Your modules are upto date".

The purchase modules page shows:

Network Module $49.00 Not Yet Installed
