I have 2 ISY's for Primary Res and Summer home both routers are Netgear same ISP at both locations.ISY and router using latest firmware both setup using DNS no problems connecting remotely from pc or android EXCEPT for the past couple of weeks when connected remotely to the Summer home the current state is blank when connected local it's not blank. Today I connected remotely to my Primary res and the same results. What do you suggest.

Thanks

Hi captfisk,

This is related to the firewall software on your computer. What you need to do is to make sure both of your ISY's are included in the trusted zone or exclusion list in your firewall software.

If you are using HTTP to access ISY, I strongly recommend changing it to HTTPS: it's more secure and most firewall software are more lenient with https traffic.

With kind regards,

Michel

I tried your suggestion at my Primary res changed the https port in ISY to 442 added the new address in the Netgear port forwarding and this is what I get. I use Mozilla

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

The security certificate presented by this website is not secure.

Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server."

Michel:

I "fixed" it by generating a self signed certificate in ISY and installing it then adding the address to exceptions in Mozilla. My Primary res now works and it also works on my mobile device "android" both using https. I'll be setting up the Summer res tomorrow.

Thank you for your help.

Update!! I logged in remotely to the Summer ISY using https on port 443 without port forwarding in the Netgear and it worked like a charm the Current State was populated with the status so I probably didn't need to port forward 443 on the Home ISY.

So far so good.

Thank You,
