ISY 99i not showing all switches for 2334-232 keypadlinc

I added a 2334-323 keypadlinc to my ISY 99i. But the devices list in the admin console shows only one line for the device, not the 5 lines it shows for older keypadlinc 6-button devices. The (one) entry shows the correct device type. Why aren't there entries for the other 4 switches?

So, am I correct in assuming that at this point I'm SOL?

Also, I'm guessing that if I had a spiffy new 994i everything would be peachy keen. What makes the 994i better than my stinky old 99i? Any upgrade pricing available?

I believe there was another user with a similar Keypadlinc problem with the ISY99i.

They where going to try a older model from the drop down list but I don't know the results.

There was a upgrade from a ISY99i to ISY994i offer awhile back but it has expired.

You may want to wait and see if UDI chimes in on this subject.

The main problem with the ISY99i's firmware was they ran out of space. To hold the larger firmware needed to add the new devices and features.

im in the same boat, and also tried to force an older firmware

wish i would have taken advantage of the upgrade before it expired in may, just wasn't paying attention to ISY stuff at that moment.

how about extending the deal :(

So I've just run into this same problem it seems, although I have reason to believe that the 99i in fact does support newer keypadlincs, as evidenced by my circumstance.

I recently received warranty replacements for 3 keypadlinc dimmers to replace 3 failed units. The replacements are 2334-232 while the old ones were the older firmware models.

After physically swapping out the keypads, I started the linking process to add the switches. As others have seen, they only showed up as a single entry instead of 8 separate entries (one for each scene button). I thought this was strange, but I then used the ISY99i feature to "replace" the failed device with the newly linked keypad, and voila, the new 2334-232 works as expected, and I can assign each individual button to scenes within the 99i, no issues I have seen.

However, I also purchased an additional 2332-232, which also shows up as a single device. But for this one, I don't have an existing switch already programmed in ISY99i to swap it with, so I can't get all 8 buttons showing up on this one.

Clearly the 99i supports the newer keypad for the purposes of scene assignment and programming, just not during linking. So my question, is there a "hack" I can use to copy an existing switch that I can use to perform a "replacement"?

The 99i does not support the Dual Band KeypadLincs. Apparently the Replace With function is not dependent on the different device cat/subcat value associated with the Dual Band KeypadLincs. The 99i does not support many of the new devices released since 3.3.10 was released. There is an update option to move to a 994i for $99. Do not know how long that option will be available.

I understand that it officially doesn't support them, but as far as I can tell, the ones I added with the "replace" function are working perfectly. So the question remains, how can I hack in another dual band switch without having an existing switch to "replace"? Is there a way to edit the INSTEON addresses manually?

"Is there a way to edit the INSTEON addresses manually?"

No.

If the old KPLs work enough to add to the ISY add one and Replace it.
