davbow Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 So, I see that Smarthome has started their holiday sales promotions. I am relatively new to purchasing Insteon products - so my question is this: What kind of sales promotions should I expect from Smarthome between now and the new year (% off or specifically Insteon)? Can anyone give me a perspective on what types of deals on Insteon Smarthome has run in previous years? Thanks for any insight! David
WayneW Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 20% is the best I recall seeing over the past few years. I have not seen any Insteon sales yet for the upcoming holiday season, am I not on the right maillist anymore? There is a thread here that used to be used for spreading Insteon sales news, in case somebody missed an email. viewtopic.php?f=30&t=4315&start=15 Maybe that could get used & stickied again?
davbow Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 Thank you for the feedback. It helps to know what to expect.
ISYhbsh01 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I did get some kind of promotional email from them today or yesterday. However looking at the fine print it excludes Insteon products. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
LeeG Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 My email of the Black Friday $150 off $800 purchase specifically EXCLUDES Insteon devices. *Use promo code at checkout. Sale ends on 11/7 @ 11:59pm. Not valid on INSTEON products.
apostolakisl Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 For at least the past 3 years they have had a 20% off Insteon and free shipping. The sale usually only lasts a few days and it usually happens much closer to Christmas.
Brian H Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I have seen the discount percentage tied to dates. 20%, then 15% and the remaining sale dates reduced to 10%.
arw01 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I am banking on their Black Friday sale being the 20% insteon products. That is what it was last year. Black friday this year is the 29th of November. Need to freshen up my list and decide if I will make the ecobee plunge, REALLY hate that cloud idea, but I think I am screwing myself in energy usage and therefore money with the current thermostat.
