Failed T-Stat, Alternatives?

Hello;

 

So after a short life, my Insteon Wired T-Stat stopped working today. Just won't turn on.

 

Wired up the old T-Stat and back up with the AC.

 

Any alternatives to the Insteon? I may be interested in giving a Z-Wave a go.

Well, actually that is the opposite route.

 

I really only use the T-Stat to turn on and off the AC at Set Points. I have my own 'nest' programming in the ISY that handles predictive SP changes.

 

So in short, I don't need a bunch of the fancy features. Just the ability to interface with the ISY.

Hi maddbomber83,

 

We are very close in releasing our Z-Wave solution and thus almost all Z-Wave thermostats would become alternatives for you. My personal favorite is RCS TZ45 which is rock solid.
