ELK to ISY994i connections

Newbee here. I've scoured the UDI wiki and forum but find it difficult to pinpoint the right search keywords to find the right thread or situation.

I have followed the instructions to the "tee" for linking the ISY to the Elk M1XEP (static ip and ports seem in order), and I can't for the life of me get a complete top border/box with the arming status, area drop-down menu in the ISY admin console, and the sense that the two products are fully, continuously and completely communicating to one another. Only one of two keypads is showing up. No Area name, and all zones are attributed to "Zone 0."

I have difficulty thru the Elk RP2 application of getting a test email alert from the Elk and a test/confirmation for Dynamic DNS with "no-ip.com" established, but the time server function works fine so I know I have a valid internet connection. I understand that Elk does not directly respond to owner/DIY installations, and these issues may need to be answered from them or someone experienced in this mated equipment on the UDI side, and may not relate to the ISY perfectly, but at least I feel I am able to connect to the M1XEP successfully from the Elk RP2 software and make changes to the control, and the ISY through the java admin console.

I feel the Elk M1 control is functioning successfully as a security system, and the ISY is equally functional as a home automation unit (with a great interface from MobilLinc on my iOS devices that works as well, but doesn't show the security system yet even though I have purchased the plug-in - another forum, I know), but the link between the ISY and M1 is eluding me at present.

At this time, I will shut up and see what specifically I can answer from your end?

Thank you in advance.

Roger that! :D

I know I have updated the firmwares on everything so they are ahead of the references in any of the sticky "threads" in this section.

Now, interestingly, I used the Elk M1ToGo PC app (I run windows 7 on a Parallels VM on the Mac), and it has the links working in the lighting tab. The real issues seems to be how the ISY admin console doesn't know everything in the Elk M1 control. What is topology? I get a good file while in the RP2, but it doesn't seem like anything is happening when I click on it in the ISY Console.

Thanks, guys. I knew I was getting the best people of this forum.

Double yep, apo, I gleaned that out of a tip somewhere here. Originally, I was still accessed, and maybe even while in the virtual mode going back and forth between Mac and Win7. I would play with it at night and go back to work and surf for another "pearl" or suggestion, apply it the next night and... here I am at your mercy.

Michel, will submit a ticket shortly. What hours can you support a callback? I suspect you are west coast, so a 2 hour diff here to Texas; we can shoot for a late in the day and catch us at home and work, respectively.

To bring closure to this thread...

Thanks guys for the help behind the scenes. Who would have thought a space in front of my Elk "area name" would cause the glitch. So much for trying to center the name in the keypad LCD!!

A couple of PDFs on the Elk site helped get my email and dynamic DNS cleared up as well. So we are humming along. Ready to learn some "programming" for the events and scenes and make this system sing!
