rwgee Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I have a standard motion detector (non-insteon) outdoor light fixture with the automatic off feature. It needs an off-on action within 2 seconds to override the automatic off feature. It's controlled by a switchlinc dimmer and try as I might, using "wait" for 0, 1, and 2 seconds as well as on, off, fast on and fast off, I can't get the ISY controller to override the automatic off. I thought it would be simple - am I missing something?
LeeG Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 The non-Insteon motion detector should be driven by a Relay device. The output of an Insteon Dimmer does not provide the power arrangement needed by the non-Insteon motion sensor.
rwgee Posted December 15, 2013 Author Posted December 15, 2013 Got it - thanks! I thought the answer would be something like that. I think simplest things to do is to rewire the fixture and take the motion detector out of the circuit. Thanks again.
