Insteon units on sale - Boxing Day online and stores

Featured Replies

Bestbuy.ca and futureshop.ca (both Canada) have some good deals on Insteon units. Lamplinc for $41.

Limited time and quantities. Shipping id free. I am not associated in any way.

Sorry about placement. I couldn't find an appropriate thread for this.

FutureShop still had both ApplianceLinc and LampLinc units, on sale, in the Waterloo, Ontario store, December 27, 2013.

Hub Starter kit for $125.

Well if you have any need for the 2456S3 ApplianceLincs.

They are discontinued. I was lucky to find a few spares for my collection. From Amazon.

I am probably one of a very small minority that still adds an X10 address to my modules. The Dual Band replacement for the ApplianceLinc does not support an X10 address.

Shopping at Best Buys & Future Shop is always like shopping at the mall. Over inflated prices the majority of the time. I always find it funny that the actual vendor (SmartHome) sells their wares cheaper then Aartech, Best Buys, Future Shop etc.

The dollar this year has been near parity forever so when they tell you its because of the exchange rate they are just full of crap. What is upsetting is that Costco sells Insteon for way cheaper and none of these places will price match them?

Not even Smart Home!

I had no idea Costco sold Insteon. http://www.costco.com/Insteon-Dimmer-Sw ... 83308.html These dual band switches work out to $37 each including shipping. They list a model number that I am not familiar with, however. I assume this is just a Costco thing and that they are in fact 2477D switches. Anyone have any experience here? They also come with screwless cover plates which I suppose is worth a buck or so.

All I know is you don't have to wait an entire year for a 20% sale! But of course the Canadian Costco does not carry Insteon!

In the future I am going to have to ask a few members give me a hand to purchase some of these items and forward them to me in Canada.

$25.00 a piece for the Leak Sensor is the cheapest you will find any where!

Provided you need 4 of them. Of course you have to pay sales tax at costco so the price ends up equal to the 20% off sale, but like you said, no waiting for Christmas. I'd be happy to help you out, but don't really know if I can drop ship the device to canada or whether it would need to be shipped to me then reshipped to you.

Thanks for your help in the other threads. And a sarcastic "thanks" for the costco link. I just dropped a bunch of cash for new devices during the sale. I always like to have a few on the shelf in case I want to add some switches. Now that the sale is over I felt no urge to buy anything. Hard to pay full price after getting the deal. Now that I see costco has dimmers, hard to resist the urge to add a few more. As if we don't spend enough in costco already. I have seen some of the kits in our local warehouse.

Oh Yeah.

I picked a 4 pack of switches up from Costco a few weeks ago. Completely normal current dual-band dimmers. Included screwless face plates as well.

The thing I found interesting is the shipment came direct from SmartHome :)

Damn!

I guess I have to watch my model numbers closer. I didn't realise those were the ApplianceLinc units I can get at aartech.ca for $34. I ordered two that will be going back for that price! I hope they deal with that at the store even though I am two hours away from one. I could probably make use of a few but not for more money. Most of my X10 units I bought for $5-$10.

The LampLincs at BestBuy and FutureShop online and stores look like the latest model though.

Aartech.ca had the Motion Detectors on sale for $24 but they sold out quickly.

The Dual Band 2457D2 LampLinc still shows X10 support.

The Dual Band 2635-222 ApplianceLinc replacement.

Shows X10 support as No.

Like the other Dual band Devices. Has no pass through outlet on the front of the module.
