Michaelv Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I recently upgraded from an ISY99IR Pro to the ISY994ir Pro. Process went pretty smoothly, but It seems that none of my programs I have written that include a quick double tap to trigger to run the program are working. Any Ideas?
LeeG Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer at LEVEL 3. Make a single tap, then do a double tap. Post the event trace.

Did you update to the latest firmware, this was a known bug in earlier versions and if you just upgraded you might be on that older buggy version.
Michaelv Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 I am now upgraded to 4.1.1. Still not working. Here is the Log as suggested by LeeG. LeeG Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 There are X10 messages in the trace and no Insteon messages. Are these the messages that were produced when the device was double tapped? Is a new PLM being used with the 994i?
Michaelv Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 No, it is the Old PLM. they were on Back order from Smarthome. It should be here tomorrow. I did a single, then a double tap. I believe this switch used to control some X-10 switches that I have since replaced with Insteon switches. However, this double tap was controlling and insteon switch before the upgrade to the new ISY.
LeeG Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 If these are the messages generated when the paddle is pressed it has an X10 address assigned to it. X10 does not have double tap function that I remember. Running with the older PLM should be fine. If the PLM was changed it would require the new PLM link database be rebuilt.
oberkc Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Is it possible that this switch is not "added" to the ISY? Does this switch show up in the device listing?
Michaelv Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 The switch is in the ISY. Here is the event view doing a single tap and a double tap on a different switch. Wed 01/01/2014 12:41:59 PM : [ Time] 12:42:00 1(0) ???
LeeG Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Since I have not seen an Insteon message in any of the event viewer postings I suggest doing a File | Restore Modem (PLM) to rebuild the PLM link database.
Michaelv Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 wouldn't it be better to just wait for the dual band PLM to show up and restore it? I can wait another day. Mv
Michaelv Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Ok, my dual band PLM is here. any tips on getting this into the system correctly?
LeeG Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 The Wiki has a section on Replacing PLM http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... _.28PLM.29
Michaelv Posted January 3, 2014 Author Posted January 3, 2014 Thanks. I restored my dual band PLM and my Double taps are back. Thanks for the help.
