Is my Keypadlinc defective, or am I doing something wrong?

Insteon and ISY are both very new to me.

 

I have installed the Smarthome RF remote, and It shows up as 6 devices. I have also installed a 6 button keypadlinc and it shows up as 5 devices (one dimmer and four buttons)

 

The 8 button keypadlinc only shows up as a dimmer. I tried a factory reset, and deleted it and re added it to the ISY, but I still can't see the other buttons.

 

What do you think the problem is?

Hello Jay,

 

I am so very sorry to hear about the problems you're having with your system. The reason is that SH decided (a while ago) to reuse one of the unused product codes for KPL. What you need to do is to upgrade to our release 2.6.4 (beta) the instructions for which you will find here:

Thanks for the reply. Late last night I was able to update the software.

 

Do I also need to delete and re-add the Keypad?

Yes, please do remove and then add the KeypadLincs which are showing incorrectly.
