lpperras Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I added three new KeypadLinc to my network, I already had two, and out of the three I was only able to connect one of them. Once is just not seen by the PLM, event though the two lines of my house have other insteon devices and they all work. The other one fails to be added with this message: Here are the logs: Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:12 PM : Start Insteon Device Linking Mode Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:12 PM : [LNK-BGN ] 02 64 01 00 06 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:33 PM : [LNK-STAT ] 02 53 M(01) gid=00 1C.DF.96 011B 41 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:33 PM : [1C.DF.96 00] Linked device type=01.1B fw=41 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:33 PM : [1C DF 96 0 ] Added to list of devices to link to ISY Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:33 PM : [LNK-BGN ] 02 64 01 00 06 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:50 PM : Stop Insteon Device Linking Mode, Final processing to follow Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:50 PM : [LNK-END ] 02 65 06 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:50 PM : [std MH ] Unexpected Ack imCmd=65 cmd1= 0x96 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:50 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 1C DF 96 0F 0D 00 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:51 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 1C.DF.96 0F 0D 00 06 (00) Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:51 PM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.DF.96 22.82.8C 2B 0D 02 (02) Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:51 PM : [std-Direct Ack] 1C.DF.96-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:55 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 1C DF 96 0F 0D 00 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:55 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 1C.DF.96 0F 0D 00 06 (00) Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:55 PM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 1C.DF.96 22.82.8C 2B 0D 02 (02) Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:55 PM : [std-Direct Ack] 1C.DF.96-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:55 PM : [1C DF 96 0 ] Calibrating engine version Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:55 PM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 1C DF 96 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 Sat 01/11/2014 04:18:56 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 1C.DF.96 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 06 (00) Sat 01/11/2014 04:19:04 PM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 1C DF 96 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 Sat 01/11/2014 04:19:05 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 1C.DF.96 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 06 (00) Sat 01/11/2014 04:19:13 PM : [iNST-TX-I2CS] 02 62 1C DF 96 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 Sat 01/11/2014 04:19:14 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 1C.DF.96 1F 2F 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 D0 06 (00) Sat 01/11/2014 04:19:18 PM : [1C DF 96 0 ] Failed to add device, reason 9 Sat 01/11/2014 04:19:18 PM : [All ] Writing 0 bytes to devices Sat 01/11/2014 04:19:18 PM : [All ] Writing 0 bytes to devices Anyone has suggestions? LeeG Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 There is no Extended message response from the device. There should be 02 5x inbound response. lpperras Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I just bought these 4 devices and they came with the new box from Insteon, I don't see how they could be old devices. Is there anything I can do?
LeeG Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I did not say the KPLs are old. The one in the trace is the newest I2CS device. It is not responding to the Extended message requesting link database information. This can be caused by the items in my previous post.
lpperras Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 To bridge the two phases I use an Access Point #2443 v2.0. Do you think this could be the issue?
lpperras Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 The one that was failing to linc was finally added, the system sees it and I can control it, but it gives me errors when I rename the buttons on it. Could the issue be the Access Point? Louis
LeeG Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 The Access Points have no connection to renaming nodes. It could be there are pending updates which are attempted when the node names are changed. What does the 4 tap Set button test show regarding the Access Point?
