87squirrels Posted January 29, 2014 Share Posted January 29, 2014 I have an Outdoor ApplianceLinc that switches off as soon as I turn it on. I don't know if the module has an issue or I have a program somewhere that's turning it off as soon as it notices it on. I suspect that may be the case, as it seems to stay on longer if I turn it on from the local button (it's quite cold here, so I didn't hang around to time it). Here's a log from turning it on from the admin console, if I'm reading it right, as soon as the device reports that it's on, the ISY is turning it off: Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:01 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 14 45 3A 0F 11 FF Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:01 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 14.45.3A 0F 11 FF 06 LTONRR (FF) Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:01 PM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 14.45.3A 0F.9F.12 27 11 FF LTONRR (FF) Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:01 PM : [std-Direct Ack] 14.45.3A-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=1 Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:01 PM : [ 14 45 3A 1] ST 255 Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:01 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 14 45 3A 0F 13 00 Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:01 PM : [iNST-ACK ] 02 62 14.45.3A 0F 13 00 06 LTOFFRR(00) Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:02 PM : [iNST-SRX ] 02 50 14.45.3A 0F.9F.12 2B 13 00 LTOFFRR(00) Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:02 PM : [std-Direct Ack] 14.45.3A-->ISY/PLM Group=0, Max Hops=3, Hops Left=2 Tue 01/28/2014 09:57:02 PM : [ 14 45 3A 1] ST 0 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LeeG Posted January 29, 2014 Share Posted January 29, 2014 The device is sent an On command, immediately followed by an Off command. Look for a Program that is sending an Off command. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
87squirrels Posted January 30, 2014 Author Share Posted January 30, 2014 Thanks, I found a program normally used in summer that turns this device off when the bedroom temp is below 70; forgot that the device had a summer use (bedroom fan); in the winter it controls the heaters in our gutters. I have 95 programs... I resorted to doing a backup of the ISY and then doing grep "14 45 3A" CONF/*.PGM to find the offending program. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
oberkc Posted January 30, 2014 Share Posted January 30, 2014 Just in case you were not aware, the ISY includes a "find and replace" feature within the programs tree. I can be used to find devices used within programs. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
LeeG Posted January 30, 2014 Share Posted January 30, 2014 Thats great. There is Find/Replace that may have helped. Right click My Programs and select Find/Replace. That allows a search for various items including a specific device. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
87squirrels Posted January 30, 2014 Author Share Posted January 30, 2014 Well, my day is complete - I've learned something useful today! Never realized that was there. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
oberkc Posted January 30, 2014 Share Posted January 30, 2014 I must admit, too, that it has been a long time since I had heard "grep". Was that unix? Pretty creative. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Unix, Linux, BSD, OSX - pretty much anything that isn't Windows these days. -Xathros Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
