pjjameso Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Does the screen go dark after so many minutes of non use? If it stays on all the time it wont work in the bedroom with the wife. Hates any sort of lights at night.
jmed999 Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Yes it goes dark or dimmed....your choice after a certain amt of time.
Scottmichaelj Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 FYI it has a very small screen. It also doesnt have a typical single gang box fitment since its horizontal vs a switch being vertical. I purchased on for my home but returned it. Personally an iDevice or Android app/setup is more useful for the money. Just my opinion though.
steve4609 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I initially bought the Navigator keypads as in the pictures, it looked higher quality and nicer. It also appeared to be about the same size as he other keypads. i was shocked to see how small it is. For us it was too small but others might prefer the smaller size
DennisC Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 The Navigator keypads may be small but they work fine. I have been using them for several months now. They are very easy to use. Dennis
steve4609 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I did not intend to imply that the Navigator did not work or was difficult to use. I replaced an old Ademco alarm system with 3 keypads with an Elk M1 Gold. The M1KP and M1KPB have about the same wall footprint as the old keypads. Because the Nav is much smaller i would have needed to paint each room because the wall color behind the old keypads that would not be also hidden by the Nav was a 100 shades of off white different than the rest of the wall.
