Kalid43 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 In Florida, 2-3 times a week during summer we'll get a quick power outage where the ISY will reboot. Unfortunately, each time it reboots, it defaults to having the internet access disabled. Is there any way to change this? When I'm travelling, this means thats i can't access remotely until i get home and Enable from the admin console. Did a search and couldn't find anything on this topic... appologies if this has been addressed elsewhere. Thanks for your help.
MikeB Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Sounds like your router might be turning off the UPNP forward to the ISY. You might want to manually create a port forward in your router instead.
Michel Kohanim Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Kalid43, I am so very sorry to hear this. I need to make sure I understand the issue since ISY is supposed to restore previous setting upon reboot. So, are you saying that: a. You are using File->Enable Internet Access AND b. After power outage, if you go to Help->About, you see Internet Access: disabled? If so, what version of ISY are you running. If not, then please try: 1. Assign a static IP address for your ISY 2. Create a manual port forwarding rule in your router (as Mike suggested) Thanks so very much, with kind regards, Michel In Florida, 2-3 times a week during summer we'll get a quick power outage where the ISY will reboot.
