setting correct time on Venstar T-1700

I'm sure this is covered somewhere but my thermostats don't have the correct time.  Is there a way to program them to keep the correct time from the ISY?

There is a Program "Synchronize Clock" but not sure if the T1700 supports the command.

No. The synchronize clock only works with Smarthome's own thermostat, not with the Venstars.

My next question is does it matter for programming that eminates from the ISY?

It does not.  The internal clock is only used for display and for any programs set within the Stat.  Most of us never program anything in the stat and use the ISY instead.  I can't remember the last time I even looked at the clock on my Venstar.
