Smartenit EZIO8SA Multiple PLM's?

I am looking to control my pool actuators via my isy994 and was looking at the Smartenit EZIO8SA but see that it requires a power source and a plm directly connected. My current plm of course is connected to my isy994.  From what I read you can't have two plm's on the network.  The Smartenit EZIO40 seems to do the same thing but less but it is out of stock on smarthome site.  How do you connect the EZIO8SA? Suggestions?  Thanks

Most Insteon devices have a PLM built in.  The EZIO8SA does not and as a result require an external PLM connected.  This is acceptable as this is a device and not a system controller like the ISY.

I'm using the Ezio8 right now for pool equipment myself. Having communication issues with it right now (reliable signal) but I don't think it's the EZIOs fault... It's a distance/network problem that I'm working on.

I was just talking to Orchestrated Home. They have 2 EZIOs in stock. Unless I really needed the features of the EZIO8sa, I think this would be a simpler solution.

I got my ISY from them and have been very happy with them.

Agreed they sold me my ISY and some modules. Good people.

You can always get any Smartenit Module directly from their web site sales pages. As it is their product and Smarthome is one of their distributors.

No problem with multiple PLMs in use.   I run two ISYs, each with its own PLM and at present also have an EZIO8SA with its own PLM.   Of course the ISYs are controlling their own unique set of Insteon devices and the EZIO8SA is defined to only one ISY..

I personally don't recommend the EZIO8SA. Search for it and my username for the details - am using Tapatalk and don't have them handy. (I really should update the thread on how things ended up... Got my money back for the parts but not for the ~100 hours of my time...)

That was a great thread and I really learned a lot about the product. Glad they gave you the refund at the end.
