60Hz Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Please add ${sys.program.#.comments} to the list of available variables for inclusion in the Subject and Body fields of Custom Notifications. Currently I use several programs on the ISY to send custom notification messages (via SMTP e-mail) to a local Linux server whenever I need to execute complicated home automation tasks which are more suitably handled with a scripting language in the Linux environment. On my system, these tasks include: Control of my Denon receiver Control of my Dune media player Automated audio announcements on an overhead speaker Turning power-over-ethernet ports on/off using a managed switch The ability to include the comment text from ISY Programs in custom notifications would greatly simplify interprocessor messaging and would eliminate the need to create separate custom notifications with hard-coded phrases in the body.
Michel Kohanim Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Hello 60Hz, Thanks so very much for the feedback. #154. With kind regards, Michel
elionce Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I'm very interested in this too What does "#154" refer to? Presumably an issue number on some sort of bug tracker - couldn't find it via the support page tho... Thanks!
Techman Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 It's #154 on the list of modifications/enhancements to add to the ISY firmware
elionce Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 ...Right, I assumed something like that - I was more asking for a link to that list/tracker/thread
Techman Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I believe that the list is internal, nothing has been made available to the end users.
