Email notification problem "TLS notification failed"

Featured Replies

Hi,

Would appreciate some advise as I'm stumped as to what has gone wrong with this!

My email notification was working fine until the last few days when I started getting the error "TLS notification failed"

My mail server is smtp.mail.me.com, which must have been found as if I turn 'Use TLS' off then I get the error "unsupported authentication message". I've checked my router and port 587 is being forwarded (as advised by apple) http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT4864

I don't know what else to try..

Cheers,

Alex

It's possible something may have changed on the mail.me.com server. Try sending an email using the default server. If that works then I would give your email provider a call to see if they made any changes on their end.

The ISY is currently not supporting SSL 3.0 which also might be factor.
