Hi...

 

I couldn't find this with a search...

  1. What does the "Responding" status mean? 
  2. What is it commonly used for?
  3. It's one of the status's for a switchlinc.  Is it used for other devices and is the meaning the same for all of them?

The is/is not Responding indicates if the device is responding to commands. Can be used in a Program or Admin Console to see if device is having comm problems. A device that is important such as a water tank pump control device can be checked remotely, for example.
