Paul Dorian Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I start to have communication problems with my devices not updating the status to isy about every week. I then go in and restore the plm modem and it works for another week. Does anyone have a more permanent solution?

If its under the two year warranty period I would engage SH directly for a replacement. A new hardware 2.0 and related firmware has resolved early failures (bad capacitors) and a random *ALL ON* bug that seems to impact a number of people. This assumes your problem is a PLM losing link records and not other issues like noise on the line or the actual device in question is defective.

Paul Dorian Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 My plm modem is only a year old. I have compared the links and they don't seem to be different. I have filters on anything that could cause noise. I would think that if I did the restore if I still had communication problems then things would not work. Immediately after doing a restore everything works as expected.

Paul Dorian Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 It has gotten worse. It was working fine for a few months then a restore was needed. Now every week.

Might be time to give SH a call and see about a replacement. If you could provide your hardware information on the back of the units sticker along with the firmware indicated by the ISY under Tools -> Diagnostics -> PLM Info / Status. That would be most helpful for those tracking your efforts.
