ricke Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I have the 994i Pro and was using the INSTEON 2413S PLM which has died since there are no more LEDs. I get the ISY is in Safe Mode when I start the admin console. I have my last PLM the 2412N which does power up OK but I can't seem to get it to be recognized and also see the safe mode error. I powered off both devices then plugged in the PLM and then immediately the ISY. I'm not sure how long to wait before bringing up the admin console but so far I can't get past the safe mode error. Any idea how to get that older PLM up and recognized? Thanks, Rick
Teken Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 When plugging in the old PLM wait about 30 seconds. Then plug in the ISY. Once the ISY comes up follow the replace PLM process in the WiKi. Encrypted By: Phoenix Security Solutions
LeeG Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) The 2412N does not work with the ISY. Is that the correct number? Edited November 23, 2014 by LeeG
Teken Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 The 2412N does not work with the ISY. Is that the correct number? I was hoping he meant 2412S which was recently discontinued.
ricke Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Oh that must be the problem. I must have grabbed the wrong PLM, it was the 2412N, it sure looks like a PLM but if its not supported that explains it. Thanks for steering me straight. Rick

Rick Do you have another 2413S PLM laying around? Encrypted By: Phoenix Security Solutions
ricke Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Not that one, I just rush ordered one from Smarthome. Has the Universal Devices PLM hit the market yet?
Teken Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 No, ETA is still TBA. It's going to be Q1 2015. Encrypted By: Phoenix Security Solutions
LeeG Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Note that the 2412N SmartLinc port is a LAN (Internet) connection. The port on a 2413S is for a Serial port. Not sure what that did to the ISY Serial port.
Michel Kohanim Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Hello everyone, Just a quick update on our PLM: the first samples arrived (5) and we are currently testing them (and burning them in). With kind regards, Michel
