ISY 994i/IR PRO

Hi everybody,

 

I have an ISY 994i/IR PRO set up to send emails to my live.ca account  for specific rules. For some reason it stopped working after 2 years of no issuesand Im not sure why my test email also dont work. I get an error message Mail Server Failure, TLS  negotiation failed.

 

SMTP sever used is smtp.live.com

Port in use is 587. I tried changing this but no sucess

 

tried to do some reading, tryied to change email account but not able to get it to work again. What should I look at. Anybody else have this issue and was it solved?

First thing I would do is verify your email account and log in and see if the user name / password is the same.

 

Next I would ping the address stated above from your LAN and reply back what the results are. Next I would confirm that the ISY is not being blocked by any firewall / anti virus software.

 

Verify that all required ports are open for the above. Lastly, create a dedicated gmail account for the ISY and report back success / failure.

Hello pitbull5.0,

 

Please upgrade to 4.2.18 especially if your mail server uses TLS. This is because most services have stopped supporting SSL and moved to TLS1.0.
